Pros: Size and Style
Cons: No electric Seat on Passenger side.
Advice: I would tell them to drive one and see if they like it.I bought my Sport Equinox on 10/01/2007. I drove it a little over 100 miles. The fuel milage was great. The car performance was awsome! It is such a cute and sporty little SUV.
Pros: The pep
Cons: The transmission
Advice: Buy and prayThis is a wonderful car. I've wanted it since 1st sight. The only problem I've encountered is the TRANSMISSION. When slowing down at 20 mphs, there is a kick then downshift. It happens during slowing down from a high rate of speed and low rate of speed. One dealer says that it is something that happens and others says it's not. The dealership I purshed it from will not fix it because they can't duplicate the problem. My warranty is out in 8,000 miles. I spoke to a Product Associate @ the Dallas Auto Show, who said he will have someone contact me. I also took the shop foreman @ transmission specialist riding, but of course nothing happen. I would welcome any repairs that Chevy can give me. I do recommend this SUV just not the repairs. Is their anyone else with this PROBLEM?
Pros: Exterior Styling
Advice: IF you like the styling and cannot afford a Lexux 330 go for this!I've owend the vehicle for 40k miles and love it. It IS grossly overpriced, should have heated mirrors and seats. I opted for the better stereo with XM Radio and am not sorry. The vehicle drives like a car, the motor is strong and on long drives (6plus hrs) I get around 23 mpg using the crisue control. The interior is cheap, cheap, cheap.. for the price i'd expect more.. but I fell in love wiht the exterior. I was disappointed it did not come with 4 wheel disk brakes, this was a mistake Chevy made on the 2005's that I think they will fis on 2007's.
Cons: Liked it all
Advice: Beware of rotors--warranty only turns them twice then you're stuck paying for new ones.Love the vehicle--but I have had it for leas than 2 years and have had to have the rotors turned twice--it has only 18,000 miles. The first time was 3000 miles. It isn't my driving, I only drive it on trips (interstate trips), we bought it to have for the 'good' car. I have a 1999 S-10 pick-up with over 106,000 miles and have NEVER had to turn the rotors and I drive it all the time. The dealer said it was because I live in the country and the rotors get hot from the start-stop routine????? I thought that was in town, if I start-stopped on the major highway I live on, I would be dead--if not from an accident, from someone being really upset with my driving. I will not buy another one.
Advice: Buy it..... you will love it... the more you drive it the better it getsLove it... The first time I ever saw the vechile I thought how could one vechile be so UGLY. then it grew on me and I found the Black Amythemst color with the cloth gray interior and feel in love. It drives great, handles like a dream it is like floating on clouds. I am proud to be the owner and driver!
Pros: backseat, is very adjustable
Cons: the complicated windshield wiper settings
Advice: dont get the trailer hitch option, its a rip offI bought my 06' Chevy Equinox LT AWD in January of this year, and its a great vehichle to drive. its not so high off the ground that you need a ladder to get in, nor is it as low as a car. It has the right balance of truck and car, that I am looking for. It is affordable, and it looks great with gray leather interior, the sunroof is great for summer days, and the AWD works very well in our snowy Ontario winters here.
Pros: The Display panel, along with driver features
Cons: The cloth seats
Advice: It is a roomy vehicle, I test drove several suv's and this one had all of the comforts in oneI didn't drive it 3 miles and I knew I loved it, I bought one and you can't beat the deal you get. It has a roomy Interior I have 2 small kids in car seats and you still have lots of room. It gets great gas milage. It handles very well.
