Pros: Turbocharged motor
Cons: Brake noisePurchased an HHR SS as a grocery getter. The performance of the turbocharged motor is very impressive. Fit and finish is very good and the car feels very soild. I especially like having a small wagon that can handle my hauling needs yet be sporty and offer the performance and economy I want. The ride and handling are great for my needs. I tend to favor a tighter handling chassis and am willing to give up a softer ride. The seats are very supportive and all of the essential controls are layed out well. Gas mileage is good, around 20 in town and 29 on the highway. Only issue has been a noisy brake noise upon moderate to hard braking.
An Okay Automobile
Pros: Gas Mileage
Cons: SuspensionThe car ran well, but of course with a smaller 2.2 liter engine, doesn't have much 'get up and go'. The other thing is that both of the front end control arms had to be replaced. Likely due to driving on the dirt roads. The car has a pretty tight suspension and because of the small frame, likely cannot handle these types of roads.
My 2006 Cobalt
Cons: the rideThis car is now 5 years old and I still owe $7,000 on it! I do not think it will last the 18 more months I have left to pay on it. The a/c is going out and the transmission is going out. I have had it in the shop for recalls three times. I never liked the ride in it because it rides rough like there are no shocks on it. It takes bumps hard. I would not buy another one nor recommend it. Too may times in shop during warranty period.
Pros: gas saver.
Cons: very smallVery reliable car.
Pros: Sun roof
Cons: Two doorsDrives good and handles good
My Cobalt best in Initial Quality !!!!!!!!
Pros: low fuel consumption and reliability
Cons: underpoweredBest car in Initial Quality (after one year and 15,000 miles) I ever had in my stable, and as such even better than my 1992 Civic si (and my recently bought Fit Sport, 2010). My stable comprises classics (2xLancia, 1x Alfa, 1x Ferrari, 1x Fiat) plus the Hondas (above) and a Maxima SE (2004). 2 thumbs up for GM !!! Next daily driver; a GM product for sure
