Pros: Fuel econmony
Cons: haven't found anything
Advice: buy
Ride is smooth but typical truck, you know you are not in a sedan. Handling is excellent. Performance for a middle of the car/suv/truck vehicle is very nice. After reviewing the fuel economy.gov web site, this vehicle is among highest rated for trucks. Came with favorite options standard, tilt/cruise/pwr windows/locks, am/fm/cd and keyless entry. Sporty looking and room for 6' driver/passengers. While towing is limited to 4000 lbs it handles trailer nicely with/without load. The I-5 220hp engine is responsive with the automatic which has the best tow rating.Pros: Looks and Power
Cons: Gas Mileage isn't up to specs but its still pretty new.
Advice: Drive it more than once and tell your dealer to send it home with you for a day, you'll love it!
I have owned my Chevy Colorado Z71 Crew Cab 4x4 for about a month now and I love it. I can't say enough about this truck. It is very comfortable, it rides like a cadillac and has great features, and looks awesome. My wife even loves it and she is pretty partial to our Caravan. I test drove a 2004 Tacoma Crew and the Colorado is bigger, more agile and much nicer to look at. I just recommend that you give this truck a chance and see for yourself how refined this truck is from its predecessor.Pros: The extremely smooth 3.5L I6 engine.
Cons: The lowered towing capacity, but it makes for a great ride.
Advice: Buy it!
I was more than impressed with this vehicle. If you're looking to do a lot of hauling, get a full-size truck. If you want an SUV, get an SUV. If you want something in the middle, this is a great choice. I was very impressed with the firm, stable feel of the truck. I test drove the 2WD Z71 LS model, and it set up nice and firm, but soaked up small bumps nicely. The 3.5L I6 was great. It has a real smooth power delivery across the majority of the RPM range.Pros: heated seats and the fact it did have a little PU bed for hauling things that might be stinky (ie: gas for the lawnmower)
Cons: in Crew Cab, how the rear seats sat up so high and blocked a major portion of the rear window
Advice: Shop around!!
In the Crew version, I HATED how the rear seats hogged the view out the rear window. Though loaded, I really wasn't impressed, especially when you consider it was a $31K vehicle. Initially, I thought I'd love it because it is a little bit SUV and a little bit truck. After a test drive tho', I passed on it and won't give it more than an 'average' rating.Pros: cargo light and more tie downs in the bed
Cons: gas mileage
Advice: dont pay over sticker
Gas mileage??? Not good so far. maybe 13 miles per gallon. No coin holder. No gage cluster. some details were left off this vehicle that I had in my 1998 S10 ZR2. Tough suspension. Finally factory mudflaps that fit the big tires. Rear windows dont open.
