Pros: Crew cab
Cons: Lack of full size spare tire
Advice: Test drive it first as the length can be somewhat deceiving
I have had this truck for about four months now and have not had any problems with it. The interior is roomy enough for my family of four and all our belongings, yet small enough to fit comfortably in our garage. The ride and noise levels are exceptional as well. This is my first new vehicle purchase and the price is very affordable.Pros: Great gas mileage for a truck
Cons: Dash quality
Advice: Be sure to test drive the Colorado..you will love it!
Bought it 5 months ago..no problems. Taken it off road, beaten on it and still love it. Looked at Dodge and Toyota and the Colorado won me over. Although the interior could use a little refinishing, everything else is awesome. People say the engine doesn't compare to the competition, but my inline 5 with 220hp is outstanding and has more than enough power for my needs. If you buy the 4.7 V8 in a Dodge Dakota, and you're not towing, it's a complete waste of gas. And their 3.7 V6 has less power than the Colorado and still does not get better gas mileage.Pros: Style
Cons: Uncomfortable seats
Advice: Look for the little options that are often expected standard with a new vehicle.
Power and looks are A+. Quality of interior is a question. Handles great.Pros: handles well
Cons: Where are the ashtray and passenger door keyhole?
Advice: Lease
Wife and I both leased two of these trucks. My wife got an LS (good move) an I got the Z71. Both drive excellent. The Z71 is lacking on features big time. If it wasn't a lease, I wouldn't have been happy with the sticker price for a loan. Lot of options are not standard anymore. What's up with no keyhole on the passenger door when there are no power locks? But there is a lock on the tailgate handle! (why?) Also, no ashtray and console make it very annoying (even though I am a non-smoker). There is no place to put CDs but in the glove box. Last complaint, windows are very tight to roll down. Get the LS at a minimum. My wife's has a center console / armrest with the LS package and power locks & windows (it still doesn't have the ashtray or passenger keyhole).Pros: Sport look crew cab
Cons: cold weather interior freeze up.
Advice: look at other models first
This is not a cold wheather truck. I have a 2004 ZQ8 sport crew cab. At temps below 30 degrees the interior glass freezes. Also the doors do not seal very well. In conclusion this not the best truck I've ever owned.Pros: comfort
Cons: non-removable rear head rests
Advice: Buy Now
This is an excellent addition to the GM family. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a mid-size truck. The performance is excellent and the looks are sharp.Pros: Gas mileage, avg. 20.5 w/3.5l
Cons: Quality
Advice: DON'T DO IT
I now have 3,800 miles on it. My overall opinion is CHEAP. Cheap materials and quality throughout. I made a huge expensive mistake. Oh, did I mention It's been back to the dealer four times in 3,800 miles?
