Pros: It looks lik a 4x4
Cons: Lack of gauges
Advice: If you want a 4x4 that rides like a car, buy it
I have had several s10 p/u's this tops them all, I am very happy with my new Colorado z71 I5 cyl 4x4.Pros: more for my buying dollar than the competition
Cons: needed waranty repair at just 5,000 miles
Advice: good family 'car' with light hauling capability
Nice techie features, but lacks some basics such as an ashtray (I'm a non-smoker) and there are not enough storage cubbies. Drives well and has a comfortable ride - much quieter than I expected for a truck. I got the crew cab for hauling wife and 3 kids and bulk landscaping materials. Does the job as intended. Great gas mileage. No longbed option. A/C evaporater core needed replacing at just 5,000 miles - covered by warranty, but inconvenient.Pros: The color (Sunburst Orange Metallic).
Cons: Stiff seat backs.
Advice: Need a truck that performs on a budget?...This is the one for you.
Couldn't wait to take this baby for a spin...and boy was I impressed. Great truck for the money. Better than average power for a mid-size truck, more gas mileage than a big truck, and looks to spare. Seats could be a little less firm, but ride comfort is very good overall. If you are seeking a midsize truck that handles well, looks good, and leaves a little gas in the tank...the Chevy Colorado is worth checking out.Pros: The I-5 coupled with the 4 speed automatic.
Cons: Extremely uncomfortable front seat. Designer needs to be immediately fired !!!!!!
Advice: Be sure you can tolerate the seats. They don't grow on you in time.
Outstanding performance for my uses. Handles well on the interstate and two lane paved roads. Has great punch when you need to pass and I love the sound of the engine accelerating.I have the I-5 with 4 speed automatic. Looks great inside and out. Rides well if you can tolerate the seats. No foot support in the very deep passenger footwell.Pros: Hard to pick but if I have to I'd say the ride and the looks
Cons: The payments
Advice: Buy one you won't be sorry
I've only had this truck a few days but I have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!We traded a 2003 Mazda B2300 even though we had negative equity. We had to have it. We purchased ours from Pinegar Chevrolet in Republic Mo. Great place, helpful, low pressure sales technique, great overall experience. My suggestion if you want one buy from them. The truck is a dream come true. Lots of power, roomy, great sound system, very smooth ride and lots of style. GORGEOUS !!!Pros: Handling
Cons: back head rests are too big- limited rear view
Advice: Drive it- get a deal.
I was sold after the test drive. I bought it in April 2004 and have had no problems. This truck kicks butt! Great power, and hauling capabilities. I hear other people have had issues, I have had none so far at 16K miles.Pros: The power of the vortec I5 motor
Cons: no overhead storage in the cab
Advice: upgrade to the vortec i5 and get an extended gm warranty (100 deductible)
This truck with the 5 cylinder package is beyond imagination in power for the price. I have fuel mileage of up to 27 mpg on the freeway and no less than 17 in town. I am 6 foot 4 inches tall and have a family of four we are all comfortable on long trips. I could not be more pleased with my little red truck. Only piece of advice I have if you wish to purchase one is to buy the gm extended warranty the motor is a high tech piece of equipment and I would imagine any motor work will be pricy. The piece of mind is worth it.
