great car
good
Pros: proformance
Cons: tape player
very goodPros: The price is more then right.
Cons: The breaks and tires are JUNK!
Advice: Not a bad vehicle if you are on a budget, however there are manny more choice to consider (Honda and Toyota)
The Chevy Cavalier could easily be compared to the hot dog of the automotive world; not the most refined, a good source of heartburn and worries, cheap but hits the spot. The Cavalier i bought (2003 VL Coupe) was affordable and it hasnt had to manny problems. Gas consumption is not the best and the finish of the car feels like a Tupperware container. The 2.2 Echotech engine is peppy and the 5 spd manual transmission does an honest job. However the shifter is clunky and hard to operate. As far as breaks are concerned, they seem like they were meant to be on a bycicle. The tires are too small for the car and the VL base model is as base as it comes. Features are expensive and fuel economy isnt great. All in all, not a bad car but if you can afford to go Japanese... do so.Pros: the cd player
Cons: the way it performs
Advice: do not buy
the car drove well on the test drive. after driving the car for a week i started having problems with the performance of the car on the interstate doing 70 mph. the car would start missing and at stop lights or stop signs the engine would just shut down even turning at intersections it would shut down halfway through the turn. i have had it back to the dealer on 4 different occasions with no satisfaction. i would never buy this car again.Pros: dependable
Cons: a little rough going over bumps
Advice: you won,t be sorry
The car get,s great gas milage, Easy to drive and has plenty of room for kid,s in the back seat. The stearo system is great. Has a nice sporty look and is a great car for the money.Pros: Gas Mileage at well over 32 MPG average makes this an excellent little sporty car
Cons: The stoped making this great little car early in 2005 making after market products difficult to find
Advice: Get the XM radio option it includes a lot of great features for the other bands and CD.
Great little car with a lot of pazazz. Looks and runs great and gets exceptional gas mileage can easily get over 35 and up to 38 (w/o AC operation).Pros: Design
Cons: Air control feature
Advice: N/A
This sporty looking vehicle runs smoothly and nestles your body comfortably in its bucket seats. The steering, braking, and acceleration are all great and easy to manage while its dash is nice in appearance and easy to navigate through. The mileage is really good and, safety-wise, it's reassuring. As a perk, the sunroof is sweet! Good car, good value.
