I've owned my 2009 Chevy Avalanche for ~6 months and have thoroughly enjoyed driving this truck. The ride height is great and the ride is very smooth. The four-wheel drive has worked well in the limited snow / slush we've had, didn't slide around at all. Good acceleration and power. A bit thirsty, but not much more so than was my Montero Sport.
The best looking, most versatile, smoothest riding pickup truck I've ever owned. Versatility from the excellent 4x4 system, the air ride, the expandable bed and excellent seating for 5 adults exceeds the offerings from all other makes. Why they quit making this marvel is beyond me.
Pros: smooth ride-comfort-l- awsome design
Cons: poor gas mileage
one of the best cars we have owned, rides smooth-handles great==not good gas mileagedependable and kid friendly
Pros: interior
Cons: exterior
comfortable and great for traveling with kids because of the factory dvd playerPros: Ease of drive.
Cons: weight of bed covers.
This was my second. Do not like the new ones as they have eliminated the body moldings. Handling and performance are excellent. but must move on.Pros: comfort
just like brand new truck, has 07 factory engine, with 10yr 100000 mile warantee new tires new brakes perfect in every wayNeed to Travel, Haul or Tow in Comfort?
Pros: comfort and ease to drive
Cons: wish mine had the side door moldings to protect the doors from parking lot dings.
This Avalanche is so much easier to drive and comfortable to travel in than I ever expected. Has excellent cargo space and towing capacity. I've got 85k miles and am getting 19 mpg on the highway and 17 in my daily commute. A Great Vehicle which I would buy again.
