Pros: Engine sound / Look
Cons: Trunk Lid / Unreadable letters displayed on dash and audio system
Advice: buy it. you will not regret
Took deivery as a 2nd owner but with only 1500 miles on the odometer.People can't stop looking at the car.It is an excellent sport car with luxury feels. Linn Auduio system is kind of mismatched for a $170k car. It is not up to high-end standard. I also own a Bentley Flying Spur and it has the same low quality audio system for an expensive car. Hope Aston will listen to this comment. Trunk lid is inconvenient to open with no place to hold. Aston should of designed the trunk lid with automatic lift and close like Bentley or other low price automobile on current market. Overall, It is a good car since it is exclusive and beautiful.Pros: Exhaust sound at full blast
Cons: sun on dash
Advice: as Bond said 'surely your're jesting?'
Took delivery two weeks ago in Detroit. Weather permitting drove 8 days. Have owned numerous high end sportscars, but this is wild. Ferraris stop to look. Had one 70 degree day (yes in March) top down drew literally too many inquiries and looks. Performance is fabulous for a touring car. Exhast note is on the level of the Detroit Symphony in high gear. Tremendous torque and solid smooth shifts. Took three trips to adjust my body to interior but I am a big guy. Top works very well. No trunk space for clubs but who cares, I keep em at Orchard Lake CC. Gauges great but hard to read in sun with top down. Home Run!!! a definite over 50 James Bond machine. Bully! for the Brits!! I hate driving it because I don't get to look at its beautiful lines from outside. Not since my 65 XKE have I owned such a beautiful car.Pros: Sound of the engine
Cons: Reliability
Advice: Buy a Porsche or Ferrari
Magnificent car. Only problem is the fact that the dealer drives it more often than I do. Constantly plagued with eletrical, transmission and clutch problems. Exciting car to look at and drive. The sound of the car is mesmerizing. Save yourself the heartache and buy yourself a Porsche. My Porsche starts, drives and is fun. My Vanquish looks great in the garage but I am always concerned that it is going to break down. Choose carefullyPros: GO GO GO - without the Ferrari flashy look. Aston Martin is epitome of style.
Cons: Need to be double jointed to get in and out - more difficult than even a Lambo.
Advice: If you can afford one - enjoy it and be proud they are very rare on US roads.
Looks fantastic, drives fantastic, sounds fantastic (especially with the factory sports muffler). Comfort is marginal; very low roofline would make you think car is designed for a shorter person both to get in and out of the car, and interior ceiling height. However, pedal placement is far back and is a stretch for the shorter person. Rear seat leg room is not intended for humans it would seem.Pros: ingnition start
Cons: clutch absolutely sucks
Advice: keep you other car
Do not purchase this car if you are going to drive in traffic or on hills. The clutch keeps overheating only after 10 minutes in bumper to bumper traffic going uphill. Plus prepare fo using extensively the emergency break when moving on from an incline (LA traffic). Defintely not an everyday car. But it is everything that you imagined plus a ton morePros: The overall exterior looks,it's one of a kind.
Cons: nothing
Advice: buy it as soon as you can, even though your a tall guy, there are many compensations that make up for the extra head space needed.
Hi everyone, that owns an ASTON MARTIN.I did a test drive in this car only one time about one year ago,and it was totally awesome,I don't think there are any words great enough to describe the feeling when your driving this car. I driven all makes and models of sports cars, and I find the ASTON MARTIN to be the ultimate of all sports vehicles. This engine just roars at you like a wild tiger! Actually, the reason for this posting is that I'd like to but a used ASTON MARTIN for my son who's Birthday is coming soon.Anyone selling? PLEASE MAIL AT lionking36@comcast.net Thanks.Pros: Hand-made, F1 paddle shifting
Cons: Headroom
Advice: Test Drive and you'll fall in love. Just be 6'0 or smaller
I've owned a 2003 Vanquish now for 2 months and I have to say it's quite the car. The look is one of a kind and the performance is outstanding for a luxury sportscar. It took me a while to get use to the F1 paddles for shifting but I now do it with ease and quite enjoy it. The exhaust has a very nice sound similiar to a Ferarri but not as loud. The automatic mode for the transmission is nice and comes in handy when on the phone or you're just not in the mood for shifting. It shifts smoothly in both modes especially when you have it in sport mode. Brakes are nice and tight. The car drives very straight and is nice and tight. I am a big guy so the comfort side is a little tough as there is not a lot of headroom. The seat is nice and wide though and is comfortable. It gets a lot of looks and is something you don't see around every corner.I have not seen another yet.I took it to the track and ran a 13.36 at 108mph. That is without a real takeoff as it is hard to do with the paddles and the brake to gas scenario that is tied to the clutch. I give it a 9 out of 10. Stereo,AC,Power everything works well
