Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Pros: The large and powerful powertrain with the shift on the fly 4WD.
Cons: That the temperature controls were so difficult to set. I found myself baking during the day and freezing at night sometimes.
Advice: Just familiarize themselves with the controls; read their owner's manuals, and have a great time. The MDX had very good acceleration from the line although in the higher end gears it did have a tendency to lag behind. This however was only in the upper most gears at a high RPM. The constant power coming from the powerplant and it's unending torque do give the driver the feeling of being able to pull anything while at the same time being babied in a rich and luxurious velvety smooth feline coat. The handling was almost feline like, sure footed and sleek with the large front window giving the driver a great view of the road. The luscious leather gives a nice touch, although some of the controls could have been much easier to find and use while driving. Beside the radio, everything else was virtually out of my control due to traffic, which any normal driver would face. Once I got the hang of it though, it became much easier. I would suggest to any driver to familiarize themselves with this vehicle before venturing out into traffic. Once you do, the road will be at your fingertips.
Pros: car like feeling
Cons: road rumbling noice and Fuel consumption
Advice: Go for it-ve are high fuel consumption and tire rumbling noice
Pros: Nav and sound system
Cons: Lack of (left) foot rest space
Advice: Shop the BMW's - Lexus - ToyotasDrives like a luxury sedan, smooth acceleration, takes turns without the traditional suv tilting and rocking. Quiet engine and very low outside noise intrusion. All disk ABS brakes are truely ideal. Rear camara view when backing up is a great safety feature. Power seats for drive and front passenger allows complete comfort for any size person. Nav system is the best any vehicle has to offer. The Bose sound system, well, you may want to park this vehicle in your living room so you can enjoy amazing hi-fi after dinner. Similar SUV's in its class were also very good, you'll need to test drive them all and form your own preference, but for me, the Acura MDX was the one.
Pros: Nav and DVD to start!!!
Cons: I would be great if you had express down on all the windows and door locks that engage when the car is moving on it own.
Advice: Take it for Ride and you will want to keep going this is my second in then Acura Line and I have thought of going to any other company. I am want to replace are the I have thought of going to any other company. I am wait to replace are othe car that is VwIt was my first choice but after test driving it beacame the only choice. The list of standard features is awesome it makes the compation look very poor.
Advice: safetysafety is my first and most important concern about the cars
Pros: Comfortable seats
Advice: Test drive other SUV's and compare standard features - the MDX comes out on top.The number of standard features on the base model MDX make it a great buy!
Pros: Too many to choose from
Cons: The accessability to the third row seating
Advice: Before test driving the MDX, test drive the other SUVs and compare the difference. The MDX is the one SUV that you should consider to buy. The acceleration is great. Very smooth riding SUV, cannot tell that the transmission is switching gears. Has a very quiet engine. It's cheaper than the Lexus, BMW, and Mercedes and MDX has more features. Has enough room to accommodate 7 passengers and I like the versatility of 50/50 fold third row seating. Very efficient gas mileage. Very sporty SUV. It's $7000 more than the Honda Pilot, but it is worth it.
