New Car Rebates and Incentives: October 10, 2013

October's foliage dazzles, but don't let it obscure the great rebates and incentives that are currently available on new cars and new trucks.  We begin this week's list with the 2014 GMC Acadia full-size crossover, which presents the choice between zero percent financing and $1,500 in cash back, and follow it up with the 2013 Nissan Maxima full-size sedan and its combination of 0.0% financing plus $500 cash back or a total of $3,000 in cash back.  The 2013 Dodge Durango full-size SUV checks in with a $2,500 factory cash rebate, while the 2014 Chevrolet Suburban full-size SUV lists 0.0% financing or $1,500 in cash back.  Wrapping things up is the 2014 Kia Cadenza full-size sedan, which offers 0.9% financing plus $1,000 in factory cash back.

2014 GMC Acadia

The 2014 GMC Acadia is a full-size crossover that provides a smooth, car-like ride to go with its eight passenger seating and generous 116 cubic feet of total cargo space.  When ordered in the luxurious Denali trim, the GMC Acadia also comes with 20-inch rims, additional safety gear, heated and ventilated leather seats, and a panoramic sunroof.

All versions of the 2014 GMC Acadia are motivated by a 288 horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6.  Also capable of producing 270 lb-ft of torque, this motor is yoked to a six-speed automatic transmission and can be had with either two-wheel or all-wheel drive.  Fuel mileage for the Acadia is listed at 17-mpg in city driving and 24-mpg on the highway.

2013 Nissan Maxima

The 2013 Nissan Maxima is the largest sedan that can be ordered from the Japanese automaker, and it combines a long list of available features with a more engaging driving experience than one might expect from a full-size car.  Even better handling is available when the Nissan Maxima is ordered with the Sport package, which installs a stiffer suspension system.

The 2013 Nissan Maxima is motivated by a 3.5-liter V-6 that has been tuned to provide 290 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque.  A continuously-variable automatic transmission is standard - and exclusive - with the Maxima, and fuel mileage for the full-size sedan checks in at 19-mpg in stop and go driving and 26-mpg on the highway.

2013 Dodge Durango

The 2013 Dodge Durango represents the final model year before its recent refresh, which has dealers ready to negotiate a good price on this seven-passenger full-size SUV.  Also capable of hauling up to 84.5 cubic feet of cargo, the Dodge Durango is one of the few rear-wheel drive unibody people movers on the market.

The 2013 Dodge Durango starts out with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine under the hood, and this unit produces 290 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.  Upgrading to the vehicle's optional 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 introduces 360 horses and 390 lb-ft of twist.  A five-speed automatic is matched to the six-cylinder Durango, while the V-8 enjoys a six-speed unit, and fuel mileage for the smaller motor leads the way with a rating of 16-mpg city and 23-mpg on the highway.  Both all-wheel drive and low-range four-wheel drive can be installed on the SUV.

2014 Chevrolet Suburban

The 2014 Chevrolet Suburban is a full-size SUV that is known for both its towing prowess and its massive passenger room.  With three rows of seating, the Chevrolet Suburban can easily handle nine passengers in addition to its 8,100 lbs of trailering capacity - not to mention an enormous 137 cubic feet of total cargo with the rear seats out of the picture.

The 2014 Chevrolet Suburban is powered by a 5.3-liter V-8 that generates 320 horses and 335 lb-ft of torque.  A six-speed automatic transmission handles the shifting duties for the SUV, and four-wheel drive can be selected as optional equipment.  The Suburban's fuel efficiency rating shows as 15-mpg around town and 21-mpg on the highway.

2014 Kia Cadenza

The 2014 Kia Cadenza is a new range-topping model that is intended to serve at the apex of the brand's line-up.  The Kia Cadenza is designed to offer large sedan comfort and premium features at a more affordable price than some of its rivals, and it comes with a long list of standard gear.

The 2014 Kia Cadenza has grunt to spare thanks to a 293 horsepower, 3.3-liter V-6 that serves as its only engine option.  Also capable of producing 255 lb-ft of torque, the Cadenza's six-cylinder is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and returns fuel mileage of 19-mpg in city driving and 28-mpg during highway cruising.
