The 2013 Nissan Versa sedan comes exclusively with a 109 horsepower, 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. Also tuned to provide 107 lb-ft of twist, this unit can be matched with a continuously-variable automatic transmission in order to maximize fuel efficiency (a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic gearbox can still be had on the base version of the car). The EPA rates the Versa at 31-mpg around town and 40-mpg on the highway.
