Four-wheel drive can be added to the Expedition as an option.

The 2014 Jeep Patriot offers the choice between two different four-cylinder engines. Its entry-level 2.0-liter produces 158 horsepower and 141 lb-ft of torque, while a more robust 2.4-liter is good for 172 horses and 165 lb-ft of twist. Transmission choices for the Patriot include a five-speed manual and a six-speed automatic, although the 2.4-liter adds the wrinkle of a continuously-variable automatic for four-wheel drive models.
