Pros: All wheel drive
Cons: Does not pick up fast
Advice: This is a fabolous truck
This is a nice luxurious Car. I am very satisfied with my MONTI. I traded my 02 chevy tracker, cuz it was too small, but i am satisfied with my montero sport.Pros: The ride!
Cons: Fuel mileage
Advice: Shop at carmax if you can. Don't go for the 0/0 financing.
The XLS handles great on the open road and off road. You feel a few bumps from time to time, but after all it is a more of a truck than a car. I was a bit concerned about HP prior to test driving, but now find the 197 HP to be awesome! The tranny and torque give you plenty of power and excellent acceleration for highway mergers. The lower mileage is a trade off for the extra power. If you are looking for a solid mid sized suv and are not bent on having a car chassis, this is a great vehicle. If you get it with leather seating, you will have almost all of the bells and whistles of the higher priced suv's with a few bumps along the way.Pros: looks nice from the outside
Cons: interior design
Advice: need to discount the msrp by about 25%
Looking for an SUV for my wife. Overall drive was just ok. Did not 'feel' safe, felt like I was going to tip over if I took a corner to fast. so I didn't. Outside looks sharp, nice lines. Inside looks very dated, almost 70ish. Did not feel like I was inside a $29-30,000 vehicle, more like 21-22,000. My biggest disappointment was actually with the dealership. They 'qualified' my for their zero payments for one year and zero interest for the life of the loan. (36 months after first year for total of 48 mos) Then the salesman quoted me a price that was over $1500 MORE than the sticker in the window of the vehicle. Wanted over $32,000 base, plus dealer markups, taxes, etc. for over $35,000!!!! ( I paid less for my Infiniti I35 loaded including nav system) I felt quite insulted. Was also told the Limited had power seats, it does not. Very poor job of showing the car and features. I informed him I would not pay more than $24,000 for the vehicle and HE looked shocked. Needless to say, no sale.Pros: Comfort and overall apperance
Cons: Wiper controls and Noise from wind when the window is down
Advice: For the money, comfort I find this a very good choice in a SUV
In the test drive I like the way the auto handeled in traffic and on the open road. The ride was smooth, very quite inside, seating comfort was good. Most of all my wife liked it and to be honest I find it enjoyable to drive and the overall apperance is great. For the price and value I find this to be a great auto to own.Pros: outside appearance
Cons: comfort of ride
Advice: check out suspension and ride in back seat to check to ride comfort
looks good, handles ok, but very poor suspension for overall comfort, people riding in bad seat are very uncomfortable, front seat comfort ok. they need a new suspension to improve overall ride, have decided not to trade for newer model because of the ride discomfortPros: All wheel drive
Cons: No power seat option
Advice: Good overall vehicle with minor flaws.
Good handling with the all wheel drive. Radio controls are very tiny. The climate controls are in the wrong order. Vehicle feels very stable even in sharp corners. Brakes work well but feel a little soft. Design is old time but feels better than most of the new stuff. The only things it needs are a rear hatch remote release and a powerseat option.Pros: Ruggedness for off-road/pulling
Cons: gas mileage
Advice: Highly Recommend--please see comments-this is my second Mitsu Sport LS-4WD
An excellent 4WD 'Truck'' on-off road. Needs more HP, closer turning/steer ratio, fair gas mileage, soft brakes, heavier shocks. Good pulling vehicle. No mechanical problems.
