Pros: oz rally rims
Cons: seat comfort
Advice: Get the OZ Rally EditionI have had my Lancer (OZ RALLY)for one month now and overall i am pleased with it. The car lacks power, but the 120 HP engine still has enough juice to do what i need it to do. The car is great on gas. The stero system is nice and the look is beautiful. I test drove both the Jetta and Protege 5 and i thought iut of all three the Protege drove the best, followed by the Lancer and then the Jetta.
Pros: spoiler looks cool?
Cons: tame version for the US ... needs more power
Advice: there are other decent cars in the same price range ...While test driving the Lancer this morning, it seemed to lack any kind of power while shifting gears. Also seems like it's fairly poor in terms of quality and service. I was just generally unimpressed.
Pros: Standard CD player
Cons: No cruise control or anti-lock brakes offered for ES
Advice: Test drive everythingNot as much pick up as I was used to, but is better than I expected for a four cylinder. Pretty quiet inside and the AC works good at top speeds.
Pros: My favorite feature is probably the look of the car.
Cons: I like everything so far
Advice: If you are looking at buying a Lancer make sure you drive it and look at all the options you can recieve.I just bought a new 2002 silver OZ Rally Lancer and I love it. This is my first car and it drives great. It has an awesome stereo system and cd player.
Pros: The cool look
Cons: The engine
Advice: go for itI just bought a new OZ Rally, and I have to say that I am very pleased. Not only does the car look cool, it also is very comfertable. the only real problem is that the engine isn't too powerful, but at the price, and gas mileage it isn't a big deal. I love it!
Cons: Horse power
Advice: It is absolutely perfect. . . If you are o.k. with only adequate Horse powerI purchased the Lancer ES last November. The interior is exceptional for its class. The dash layout is wonderful, the seats are supportive, and the noise isolation is superior. I test drove the Civic, Corolla, and Sentra. This one was by far the best value. For example to get the features that come with the Lancer for 15,000 cost at least 17,000 on the others. It also rides really smoothly at Highway speed (at 80mph it purrs like a kitten). The Civic and Corolla lose their handling at that speed. The Sentra was fine but the interior is just to cramped
Pros: The Style
Cons: Cost, just a bit high but overall not too bad
Advice: If you can afford to get the spoiler get it. Take advantage of the 000 program and buy the extended warranty and the Protection plans. They are definetly worth while. Enjoy the car!!!This car was a FIRST car purchase for my daughter. She was very interested in this one from the start. She wanted the OZ model but settled for the ES with the LS option package. This is a very great car. It has all the power it needs and handles very well. We were very impressed with the roominess and the fact that I at 6'2' am able to get into the back seat an ride comfortably. The CD player standard was a great selling feature. The only thing that she did not get that she wanted was the rear spoiler. However that will make a great Christmas present. We both love this car and it has been a joy to have.
