A couple of Autobytel editors in a Ford Fiesta and went for a fast little drive through New York. Michelle Naranjo rode shotgun while Dan Gray took control of the wheel, zipping through the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel. Although this Fiesta wasn’t equipped with a navigation system, the team was able to improvise to get to the airport. So, a quick tip for Fiesta drivers who don’t have navigation — an iPhone fits almost perfectly in front of the display cubby near the top of the dash, and if you’re imaginative, it can almost look like it’s built right in. Just be careful when stopping, so the phone doesn’t go flying across the cabin. Despite the lack of navigation, Dan thinks the Fiesta is an awesome city car. The Ford Fiesta, along with its contemporaries such as the Chevy Spark and the Kia Rio, are the best cars for driving in an urban area. After all, it’s exactly what these cars were designed to do. They are excellent at navigating through tight spaces and fitting into small parking spots that might be overlooked by other drivers with bigger vehicles. So the Ford Fiesta is perfect for an area such as Brooklyn, the light at the end of this particular tunnel.
