MINI to Unveil Next-Generation Cooper November 18th

MINI fans, mark you calendars for November 18th. That's the date that MINI will reveal the next-generation MINI Cooper at the company's Oxford, Great Britain plant. The date is a memorable one for the MINI brand as it's the birthdate of the creator of the original MINI, Sir Alec Issigonis.

Issigonis' idea of the MINI was a small vehicle with a transversely mounted engine, wheels pushed out to all four corners, and plenty of space for passengers. Little did he know that MINI would also be a complete hoot to drive as well. Nor would he know the legacy that he would leave behind with a number of competitors studying and trying their best to copy the MINI's ideas.
