VERY BEAUTIFUL MINI VAN
Best vehicle yet
Pros: It can tow up to 5009 pund and it has a towing package.
Cons: It designed less profficient than the Acura RDX
this vehicle was very low cost maintenace for me.Pros: roll down middle windows
Cons: no side air bags
Advice: Buy it!!
I LOVE this vehicle. Love the handling and performance. Its peppy and fun to drive. Love the styling ...looks a little different than all the other minivans on the road and the mini-minivan size is perfect for our family. Has all the minivan seating & hauling flexibility but in a scaled down package. We've only had it a few months.. no mechanical problems so far. If it turns out to be reliable, it'll be one of the favorite cars I've owned.Pros: the versatility of the 3rd row seat
Cons: the gear handle gets in the way of the radio/cd changer panel controls
Advice: Test drive it first to see if handles the way you desire
Smooth handling, quiet engine, strong acceleration, great performance and easy to park! Looks small from the outside but is extremely roomy on the inside with lots of cupholders for the kids and mom!! Luv it!! Great job Mazda!!!Pros: all the safety ones
Cons: the gear shift covers radio volume knob
Advice: If your looking for comfort, safety, style and performance, this car is definetly for you
The comfort is excellent on this vehicle. There is plenty of room and space for your feet and body. We have two kids who are always on top of each other, and with this car, they get sufficient space. My husband has nerve damage and the driver's seat has lower lumber support. Awesome.Pros: Electric sliding doors
Cons: Interior 'metal' trim
Advice: Great vehicle, becomes pricey for towing
We just purchased a 2005 to replace our 2000 MPV because we needed it to tow our boat. We found a leftover with the $425 towing package as suggested. One would assume the vehicle would be ready to accept the hitch receiver and wiring harness but no. Required: new muffler, exhaust tip, and gasket in order to install the hitch, making this just under an additional $1000 installed at the dealership. Oh, and lets not forget that the vehicle is rated and advertised to tow 3000 pounds yet the hitch receiver is rated 2000. Include the proper muffler with the tow package or at least include this info in MPV literature.Pros: The power windows on the rear passenger sliding doors.
Cons: The strange noises coming from under the front of the vehicle.
Advice: Strongly consider purchasing a different van. i.e. Honda Odyssey or Nissan Quest
We purchased the vehicle new but from day one it had problems with something the dealership calls 'transmission shift shock'. It is fixable but it comes back to haunt you after a few weeks. I am wondering how long the transmission is going to last.. hopefully it won't die before I have a chance to replace the vehicle. Another problems we had was with the alternator which was replaced... mind you.. this is a brand new vehicle. Now we are having problems with the front end brakes or suspension.. we simply do not know and neither does the dealership. The snapping and clanking noise is very embarrasing for such a nice looking van...needless to say this is my first and last Mazda!!
