Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
I bought my Mazda 6 in March and absolutely love it. I took a road trip a couple of weeks ago and averaged between 33 and 38 MPG. I had absolutely no problems at all. Mazda really does make some great cars, especially for the price.
simply the best car i ever owned and by far never had a problem very economical plenty of power good handling and very sexy look
What a dream to drive! Standard transmission is smooth as butter and the leather interior is so comfortable that I find myself driving for no good reason other than pure enjoyment. Lots of bells and whistles and extremely user friendly. Enough room to take my camping supplies and the occasional trip to Home Depot. Love the front end styling, muscle car look without the muscle car gas price.
Pros: Radio, spoiler, clean look
Cons: lack of power, turn radiusI bought it used when it was a year old. I bought because it met my needs but never gave it much thought about the details. Everyone who gets in asks what it is because they're so impressed with the dash layout. My only complaints are that it needs more power (I have the 4 cyl) and the turn radius is horrible - I have to be careful going through drive-thrus. I think when I trade up next time I will either get another 6 or maybe a 7 if I decide on a small SUV. I would absolutely recommend this to a friend.
I love this car
Pros: the look and feel of the car
Cons: nothingno major problems at all.
A driver's car
Cons: The radioThis car is a winner for me. It goes ike stink, handles well, has tremedoius brakes, with virtually no suspension pitch when braking hard or taking evasive action. The stearing is a little low geared, but there's plenty of feel for the road. I average about 22.5 mpg, good for a car the hits 60 mph in just over 6 secs. If that bothered me, I'd have gone for the 4 cylinder. The manual overide gearbox is a must for me, especially when negotoiating bends and snow. It works well, but is a little slow to react. The blind-spot warning system when pulling out to overake is brilliant. Minuses: The radio is appalling, there is no middle range. There are no fresh air vents for rear passengers, and it's claustophobic inside due to the shape. I gave quality 4/5 becasue in the 13 months and 11,000 miles I have it, the automatic windows don't work correctly when the temperature is hot, and the front bumper has become detached from the body, only about 1/8th of an inch, but that's not good enough. Otherwise, it's plusses all the way. I would buy another, it's heaps better to drive than the Camry, Accord and Altima, Don't waste your cash on a fancy German overpriced/overrated car, try this first, and give the difference in money to your local animal charity!
Great car, drives great, looks great, however with moving and lifestyle change I need an SUV now.
