Pros: Loaded with features such as steering wheel radio controls, side air bags, spoiler, ABS, traction control.
Cons: Not crazy about the upholstery.
Advice: Take a lengthy test drive.
Firm, sporty ride. Feels solid and really hugs the road. We also own a 2006 Jetta and the 6 feels like an equal to the VW for $2K less. Purchased the 4 cyl. auto. and gas mileage has been very near the EPA numbers. Pleased with the purchase thus far. As another reviewer wrote, if you don't need a midsize car, then consider the Mazda 3. I really loved the ease of entry and exit and the overall feel of the 3, but we needed the extra room of the 6. Either way, a car worthy of consideration.Pros: Heated mirrors and leather seats
Cons: Rattles from the dash underpowered motor 4 and 6 cylinder
Advice: Get the best price don't pay to much poor depreciation
Mazda came up with a good vehicle but falls short of other car makers. Like the motor. For cylinder is the best choice. Good japaneese reliability smooth power alittle under powered 180 hp and 170 ft lbs torque would fix that problem. As for the six for Ford it's fine Mazda just an insult. It should have more of a motor for the sport look. 260 hp and 250-270 ft lbs torque should solve that issue. Wait for 2008 model. Handling is superior. Comfort better than average and could be alittle bigger in interior. Build quality is American standard Japaneese standard is below average. Such as rattles and little stuff going wrong, handles, trims, lights and interior trim around dash and windshield rattle. Other than that it's a cheap Japaneese car that should prove worthy.Pros: Styling
Cons: Gear selection
Advice: Buy a 3. If you can live with a little less room you will find the 3 to be a much better car.
Handles very well. Steering is very precise. Love the looks of the car. I do not like the gear selections on the automatic. I have had many little problems with the car. Nothing major. Just a lot of little stuff that causes me to have a lot of time in the dealership.Pros: How it drives
Cons: low to the ground
Advice: none
Much nicer ride and more fun than any van. We are considering buying for the van style doors for easy carseat removal and kid access. We also love the comfort of the seats and the high quality of the drive for the price. Only concerns... low clearance and little cargo space in the back with 6 seats up.
