Great car, drives great, looks great, however with moving and lifestyle change I need an SUV now.
Lots of fun in a 4 door sedan
Pros: Handling
Cons: back seat room...
I really like my 05 Mazda 6, it's quite peppy even though acceleration is a bit harsh and the 6 speed auto transmission is great even though I didn’t like it at first but now I’m a convert. Braking and handling are very good for a car this size, but it is a front wheel drive and you can only do so much with FWD. My only complaint would be a little more interior room, my boys are now in their teens and getting tall enough to be a bit cramped in the back seat…Mazda 6i Sport
Pros: overall performance
Cons: needs more torgue for pulling in low revs
This has been a great car for the 85k miles I have owned. Completely trouble free - it runs great, handles great, looks great. The Bose stereo has gotten a lot of trouble-free use and has always performed and sounded great. I would have loved more power and torque (as always), but I have always enjoyed the 30+ mpg I have gotten month in and month our on mostly hightway commuting miles. I would recommend a new or used one to anyone.Pros: V6 performance with rock solid handling.
Cons: Gas milage (24 mpg avg.)
Advice: Make sure you are satisfied with gas milage and ride comfort
2005 Mazda6s sedan. I did not want a me too Toyota Camry (Yawn) or Honda Accord (no manual trans with 6 cylinder engine in 2005). Looked at Mazda 6, Subaru Legacy GT, Nissan Altimata 3.5 and Chrysler 300C. Chrysler was too big and certainly not the same class as the other vehicles. But I will certainly look at later. Nissan Altima 3.5 wicked fast but little else. Subary Legacy GT was only available with automatic but again very fast, handled good and looked good...but $2-3K more expensive than similar Mazda6. I finall went with the best looking and handling 4 door sedan in this price range. Leather interior wand sport package were the only option I wanted.Pros: Sport-tuned suspension
Cons: slightly smaller back seat than Accord or Camry
Advice: Now go out and get one!
A wonderful car with great suspension, handling and design. This is no sedate family sedan, like your run-of-the-mill Camry or Accord. This car was made for driving while still being roomy and comfortable. I owned a 2000 Maxima before this, but traded it in last week for the Mazda6. You can not compare hamdling as the 6 seems to speak to you on the road. The Mazda6 instills confidence on the road. I highly recommend the Mazda6.Pros: The appearance and the handling
Cons: The type of oil filter that's used - messy if you change it on your own
Advice: Great car for the money - you'll love the performance
I purchased the 6i 5-door hatchback loaded with everything except for leather seats. The 4 cyl engine has very good acceleration and the handling is Excellent - with the traction control and suspension. Take a test drive on a winding road and you'll see what I mean. I have had the car for the past 6 months with no problems, just pure fun to drive. The only drawback that I find is that, if you do your own oil changes, it gets pretty messy as it uses a cartridge filter instead of canister type. For the money this is an excellent car to buy!!!!!Pros: Handling and Transmission
Cons: No standard tape player for my Ipod ($150)
Advice: Test it on a challenging road, you'll love it!
Owning a 2004 Mazda 6 s Sport Sedan for the past 4 months, I have found that it is an excellent car. I am 18, and this is my first car. I was use to driving my parents Lexus, and this car is MUCH BETTER! Not only is is MORE comfortable on long trips, but handles better! The seats are meant for people like me, 5'11'' and I dont have a problem with space. The standard audio system is great! The car's ABS and break-force distribution are wonderful, along with the traction control, I had no problem driving in 3'' snow. I estimated my MPG to be around 25, and I use combination of automatic and manual transmission shifting, depending on my mood. This is by far, the best car for the money.
