    2003 Mazda Mazda6 - i (M5)

Pros: Steering wheel controls, A/T shifter

Cons: The way transmission shifts back to first when I come to a stop.

    Advice: BUY THE V-6

WOW!~ I took my current car to the dealer to get fixed, because the transmission. My loaner car is a Mazda6i. I am sooo impressed a the pickup and go of the I4. Driving in and out of Philadelphia I took the car to the max. From driving this loaner I am going to the Mazda dealer and looking at a V-6. It is a blast. Mazda is back from past with the all new 6!

    2003 Mazda Mazda6 - i (M5)

    Pros: Handling

    Cons: Fabric center arm rest

Advice: Save this test drive for last, then you won;t have a problem deciding which car to buy.

I really enjoyed this car. I drove the Accord, Altima, and Camry before I drove the 6. All of the others were fairly dependable Jap cars with typical Jap features. The 6 was a break from the ordinary, with firm interior upholstery, slot car like handling, decent road noise supression, and lots of nice little things. I purchased my 6 in May 2003, and love every minute of it. I like the fact that there are still not too many on the road and most people around are always saying 'what kind of car is that?'. I think that I am personally responsible for an additional sale of 7 more of these little cruisers. For now, I have a very unique auto and am proud of it. PS: the Mazda service people are just great!!!

    Pros: Interior

Cons: No room at the back passenger

    Advice: Its best sports sedan

As per my friends advice, i took mazda 6 for test drive, and i was amazed with the performance, interior and style. I love the steering wheel mounted Radio/CD controls. It was difficult to find my color metallic steel grey with options, I could not wait to Zoom Zoom .. So i bought the Silver.

    2003 Mazda Mazda6 - s (M5)

Pros: Handling - by far, also the

Cons: Silver 'milk mustache' over grill - why do all Mazdas have this?

Advice: Pick factory-installed options - no dealer installations.

I will admit that it took some persuasion from my wife to give the Mazda Mazda6 a test. But I fell in love all over again as soon as I took it for an afternoon spin. The styling looks sporty enough with or without the sport package, but the performance of the Mazda6 is what I had in mind when looking for a sport sedan. The car handles like a dream and although it could use more HP (like the Accord), it possesses enough 'zoom to confindently pass at highway speeds. It severely outdrove the VW Jetta Wolfsburg and the Altima 2.5s. Brakes are excellent - I love the steer wheel mounted Radio/CD controls and 'built-in antenna' in the rear window. It was difficult to find the color and options we wanted and we had to wait 6 weeks for body kit/rear wing to arrive so make sure you pick the model you want if you don't want to wait. I still love this car!

    2003 Mazda Mazda6 - i (M5)

    Pros: Nice interior

Cons: I'm a 6 footer and have the drivers seat back, the center post is in the way exiting the car.

Advice: It drives like a sports car, requires shifting to quickly accelerate.

I was looking for a new commuter car, as well as a family mid-size car, weighting the balance between performance and economy. Wanted a 5-speed manual/4cyl. 30+ mpg. Came down to the Accord LX and the Mazda6i. The Accord engine is slightly better and more fuel efficient, but had a bland interior and a soft ride. The Mazda6 handled much better, better brakes, and more standard features for the money.

    2003 Mazda Mazda6 - s (M5)

Pros: Handling, brakes, steering, and everthing else

    Cons: Nothing

    Advice: Buy it!

I start the day with a test drive of a VW Jetta 'Wolfberg' edition. I was extremely disatisfied with the performance and handling of this car. Up next was the Mazda 6s. I love everything from the well 'cut' styling, performance, handling, and safety of the car. I am not a sunday (test) driver and the 6 took everything I gave it and even asked for more! I am a family man looking for an upgrade on a family car. The Mazda 6s hit all the points I am wanting in a car. Definately, a five star car!

    2003 Mazda Mazda6 - s (M5)

    Pros: Acceleration and style

Cons: Could use more center console storage space and under seat storage compartment

Advice: Test drive it. I think you will like it.

I bought my red 5 speed Mazda6s with beige leather and sunroof about a week ago. My previous car was a Honda Accord LX 5 speed. The ride quality and handling of the two vehicles seems fairly similar (both handle excellently and ride smoothly), but the 6 cylinder Madza has much more pep than my old Accord. You touch the accelerator, and zoom. Shifting with the 5 speed is very crisp. Leather seats are also comfy. Besides the Accord, I also considered the new Acura TSX, but Mazda has more power, larger trunk, and runs on regular gas (acura requires premium), and the Madza costs much less. And on top of everything, the Mazda 6 is one sharp looking car.
