    2006 Mazda MAZDA5

Best vehicle I have ever owned!

Pros: Spaciousness, handling with original tires...soundsystem

Cons: This vehicle does not have enough power for hills, carrying a load

Great car generally, though would like to see a turbo-charged engine or a 6-cylinder hybrid

    2010 Mazda Mazda5

Biggest piece of garbage I ever owned

    Pros: nothing.

    Cons: everything

This a terrible car in the winter. No drain hole around the gas cap area, ice forms on the headlights, the windshield comes down so low that the defroster doesn't help get the wipers to unfreeze when they are frozen to the windshield. It is also very hard to drive once the roads get snow covered almost no traction at all, worse than a rear wheel drive car. One of the noisiest cars I have ever been in.

    2010 Mazda Mazda5

    Cool Micro-Minivan

    Pros: manu-matic transmission

    Cons: no power seats

I looked at Honda Fit and Toyota Matrix and saw this on a dealer lot. I loved the look and all the features for the price. 6 passenger capability is a bonus for my kids and their friends. It's a little underpowered loaded for trips but is fine otherwise. 24 mpg normal driving 30 mpg highway.

    2009 Mazda MAZDA5

Much more fun than it needs to be!

    Pros: Handling/Perfect seat height

    Cons: Road noise.

A guy friend told me they market this vehicle heavily to women in women's magazines....too bad the vast majority of them will never know how capable this vehicle is in the handling/steering/braking area! This is sooo much fun to drive, it is really a tall sports car! It is difficult to make non-driving enthusiasts understand how, 'at one' you can feel with a vehicle; everything works in perfect harmony, dynamically speaking. You could say it has a 'lively or frisky' chassis that works so well with the quick steering and brakes that work and feel well. The throttle response is incredibly quick, helping to make it feel much quicker than it really is. It is like a practical, reliable BMW, mainly lacking the quiet ride and big price of a BMW. I bought my 2009 Mazda5 Grand Touring with 3 miles on it on 4/30/09 and it has just over 13K miles on it. The only time I brought it back to the dealer was because the driver side sliding door was squecking. They lubricated it and it was quiet again. It is soooo easy to get in and out of it and the driver's seat, when adjusted to the highest postion, is the perfect height for me, (I'm 5'8'), to get in and out of very easily. My worst average mpg was about 21 for one tank and the best was about 28mpg. I am a child-less guy in my forties who also enjoys muscle cars and sport sedans!

    2010 Mazda Mazda5 - Grand Touring (A5)

    Pros: acceleration and handling.

Cons: low profile can cause problems with dips and bumps.

Advice: Get one if your into preformance.

This is a minivan with a attitude! It drives like a sports car, yet has the utility of a small minivan. My kids love the ride! It handles turns like its on rails. I did mine up with tinted widows and rims.......I get looks from other sport car enthusiasts.

    2007 Mazda MAZDA5 - Sport (M5)

Pros: MPG for the size, sliding rear doors, smooth trany, high quality handling for the price

Cons: Performance tires are expensive to replace, front seat could have a longer bottom cush

Advice: If fun behind the wheel is important to you, get the 5spd and enjoy.

This has to be the best deal on the market today. 29mpg in mixed driving conditions with the 5spd, smooth I-4, impressive handling for the price, useful cargo/seating layout, one of the better cruise control systems I've used, sliding rear doors prevent my young daughters from dinging the cars next to us, and the base model 5spd can be had for around $17k even with a 50k mile warranty. Mazda needs to spread the word on the 5, not enough people realize how good it is. I've logged 50k miles on my 2006 model, it is also decent in New England weather.
