Pros: Ease of handling ability.
Cons: Trunk capacity.
Advice: Purchase theV/82004 Lincoln LS A 2100+ mile trip mixed traffic with 80% being hi-way miles. A gas milage average of 22MPG. Excellent comfort, both driver and passenger largely due to lumbar and seat adjustments..
Cons: trunk space
Advice: too late, it's gone...I have been driving the LS for many years via Hertz Car Rental, and when I found out that 2006 was the last year for this awesome car, I bought one. I have no idea why this car wasn't more popular. It handles like a dream and it is so powerful. I personally think that this car was one of the best kept secrets in America. I have had many many cars in my lifetime, and this car is probably my favorite.
Pros: V8 engine
Cons: Trunk room
Advice: skip the moonroof but buy this car!Excellent driving and riding vehicle with sporty feel. The fuel economy for the V8 is impressive. 1200 miles and I'm averaging 20.6, mixed driving conditions. I would have preferred more headroom but the power seat has allowed me to find a very comfortable position. The engine is very quiet and smooth with great power. This is the first car I've had in years that has won me over with so few miles. I find myself not wanting to get off the highway and get out. I wish Lincoln could have updated the vehicle and continued to build it for a few more years.
Pros: V8 and your not a tool driving everyother same car.
Cons: some exterior blems
Advice: Buy used and an 8.Outperforms many! Just drive it and push it past what you think it can handle, and it will handle it. Power and stopping is great. No problems in 40k. Reliable, fun, and spacious. All for a good price even new, but i recommend buying used the value of these drops like a stone, let the first guy take the hit.
Cons: everything else
Advice: heck no!i hate my car. it's been noting but trouble. my abs, traction control, air bag light is always on. none of them are working. i have a severe rattle in the front. sometimes my heated seats, cruise, and air don't work. my brake light is now coming on only when it rains.
Pros: Performance (when not in shop)
Cons: See test drive review
Advice: Think twice - check Mercedes and Lexus firstI generally wouldn't take the time to write an Internet review, but have had so many problems with my 2003 Lincoln LS that I felt it worthwhile to alert other potential buyers. I bought my 2003 off the lot in February, 2004 after multiple test drives. The performance is fantastic, interior is well thought out and comfortable, etc. I really do enjoy the car, but it has been back to the dealership so often that at one time I figured that I was in a loaner 10% of the time over a full year. The dealership has been absolutely great and accomodating, but the problems have been numerous and repetitive. It started with a roof/ceiling cover that kept coming loose, buttons that would come detached, a squeaky steering wheel that took three times to fix because Lincoln insisted on putting a 'band aid' on the problem the first two times, the engine seriously misfiring due to water getting into the plugs (dealership actually custom made an aluminum piece on their own to fix this one!), a faulty seat motor (third one is being reolaced next week), and an alignment problem due to factory settings being wrong.
Pros: heated/cooled seats - the cooled part is fabulous on a hot summer day
Cons: how the drivers seat, upon exit, rolled back over the backseat passenger's feet
Advice: keep a close eye on everything, even though it's newI loved the LS from the moment I drove it out of the dealership's parking lot. Great handling, sport package is a must! Handles curves well, better than expected. Drives so great, you just want to keep going. The only downfall, the engine blew up with less than 1,000 miles on it, so it was bought back. I still find that no other car comes in a close second. The LS is way ahead of the others! I would purchase another one today! The pros outweight the cons by far!
