Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Have had the car for less than two months and 500 miles. Pros: Fun car to drive; beautiful exterior and interior; comfortable front row seating: great sound system: safety features such as cross traffic warning; free navigation system for one year. Cons: Cramped back seats; somewhat challenging syncing process with Pandora, I heart radio. I really love this car. The beautiful infrared color is an eye catcher.
Love this car
Pros: Hard top convertible.
Cons: Tire prices.
This car is more fun than I could imagine. Lexus did it right!luxury at its finest
Pros: retractable hardtop convertible
Cons: retractable hardtop
gets an A on all things, luxurous interior, great stereo, all features are awsome. I do find the GPS hard to understand how to operate it.Long Term Review - SC430
Pros: Bullet-proof reliability
Cons: Seating and performance
Wanted a 'sports coupe with some luxury'. It delivered somewhat on the luxury, but 'sport' is nowhere to be found in the SC430. Floaty suspension, numb handling, terrible throttle response, and quite possibly the worst seats offered by a premium make. Rear seat should be removed - really only a package shelf. Anemic engine output for such a heavy car. Overall, a reliable but unfulfilling ride.Pros: Convertible
Cons: Quality issues will be not be resolved and honored by the Lexus teams.
Advice: Do Not buy Lexus.
I will never buy a Lexus again. I will reccommend to my friends NOT to buy a Lexus either! The reason, the warranty! I had the brand new vehicle for 3 months off the show room. Since day one, it could not start on its own. The batterry was never recharged after I drove it or let the car run for 30 minutes. When I brought it to the Lexus dealer in Wilmington, Delaware, they said my IC computer was fried and it was not a warranty problem. Needless to say, this will be the last Lexus that I own. Be sure that everyone I know will know of this Lexus quality problem.Pros: Ride comfort
Cons: Sub par road performance
Advice: Its a luxury car plain and simple
I was in the market for a second car for use of as a daily driver, test drove the car mulitple times, unique looks and a very comfortable ride and car is very well put together, but it is NO sports car. Car understeers a good deal under less than moderate driving, it also has a mushy road feel and quite a bit of bodyroll when lane changing. Engine has good power tho car never seems to lose that luxury car feel.Pros: Sporty handling that hugs the road
Cons: Hesitation Problem with the Transmission
Advice: DO NOT BUY - Lexus is not willing to stand behind their product
The handling is extremely capable for sporty driving and the brakes are unrivaled. The power is adequate and smooth, though it tends to lug a little at lower RPM's. The E-shift allows only limited control over shifting (gears 2-5) and far too often down-shifts on its own. A HESITATION PROBLEM occurs in many IS300's as a result of the vehicle's ICU (onboard computer) malfunctioning -- a major issue considering it is not detectable during the initial test drive, gets progressively worse, and according to Lexus, is not correctable.
