Pros: style & appealing
Cons: price. no negotiation
Advice: you may pay full price and wait a while before you can get itExcellent car
Pros: Retractable roof (or the stereo)
Cons: Back seat
Advice: The car is great if you rarely have to carry more than one other personI put sizable deposit down on 2003 CLK 500 but the folks at MBZ seemed to feel they were doing me a big favor by letting me buy their car. They have a very funny idea of 'customer service' over there. I had not considered the SC because 1) I thought it was 'ugly' and 2) I didn't think I could afford it. After investigation I found I was wrong on both counts. I love the car. The plusses are 1) unique styling 2)luxury inside and out 3) the great stereo 4) everything is standard 4) power 5) solid handling. minuses 1)almost useless back seat 2) the trunk is ok, but on the small side 3) the car weighs 2 tons and it's a little slow off the line, 3) could use a 'tiptronic' type shifter
Pros: Performance & Comfort
Cons: No Back Seat
Advice: Be willing to let others drive itI was set to buy a CLK320 and remembered looking at the SC430 last year. I went back to look again and that was it. I have had it for a week and am happy to have passed on the Mercedes. A typical comment I have been asked is 'Is that as much fun as it looks?' I can only reply YES!!
Cons: the seats in the back
Advice: buy this car because it will be the best thing that happens to you.I bought the new Sc430 and I must say it takes the cake. The steering is just wonderful and I love the hard top convertible. The seats are very comfortable and everyone just stares in awwww. I highly recommend this car for everyone.
Pros: Awesome handling
Advice: Buy one if you can!A stunning car.
Pros: Smooth operating convertible top - it's a Lexus.
Cons: My wife doesn't let me drive it often enough.
Advice: Go for it - you'll never regret it.Outstanding vehicle. We have owned M- B, Audi, other Lexus and other quality cars; this one clearly is the best.
Pros: My favorite feature about the car would have to be the motorized hardtop feature. It has the security of a hardtop with the versatilty of a convertible.
Cons: My least favorite thing about this car is definitely the low profile wheels and run flat tires. It feels as though you are riding on steel wheels at times.
Advice: I would recommend waiting a little while until the waiting lists die down. Prices are non-negotiable due to strong demand. The transmission is very smooth and responsive & Seats are very comfortable. This car is definitely an eye grabber. Vehicle has much more body flex with the top down and ride is much firmer than other Lexi. I would recomend a slightly higher profile tire (it has 40 series) that is not as vunerable to poor road surfaces.
