Pros: overall ergonomics
Cons: Tires cupped after about 17K miles - Lexus not very helpful is resolving issue. From what I've read
Advice: Atfer-sales service is a bit hyped - caveat emptor
Generally OK. Suspension is a little on the soft side - so car tends to roll quite a bit in turns.Pros: Comfortable ride
Cons: No single CD capability with multi-disc player option
Advice: Great deals available on remaining RX300's
This is the luxury SUV to have if you don't want a giant vehicle. Extremely comfortable, great ride and good power make driving a pleasure. Low step in height makes entry and exit graceful and easy. Sound system is awesome(though the multi-CD player requires all CD's to be put in a cartridge), and VSC-enhanced stability helps in wet/slippery conditions. Plenty of storage space makes the car practical as well. We love this car and may buy another one.Pros: I think it looks awesome... don't like the 2004 looks as well
Cons: could have little bigger tires
Advice: I have been very pleased with the vehicle, but get the black interior... less reflection on the windshield and won't show the dirt
This car drives well. It virtually glides on the streets and highways. The other cars I test drove felt more like a truck. You could feel every bump in the road -- but not in the Lexus. This vehicle is incredibly smooth. However, I would strongly suggest buying the black interior because it does not glare on the windshield... and because when you use the wipers you don't see big black mechnical half circles -- you'll know what I'm talking about if you put the wipers on in a light interior lexus. I couldn't be happier. It's an suv, but it also fits well with it's wood trim dash into any setting. I have the gps system and it's very easy to use. The screen it touch sensitive. The mercedes IS NOT.Pros: Engine power, smoothness, whisper quiet
Cons: large window area heats up fast
Advice: Get windows tinted, premium sound - CD changer, enjoy
Smooth and quiet, yet roomy and utilitarian. Plenty of room for kids stuff and home maintenance, yet great leather and real wood trim make it appropriate for the country club. Sitting high up gives a great view of the road with no hood visible in front, like driving in a space pod. Rear seat is super comfortable like a limo, great for clients or business associates. Premium radio/CD changer is excellent with 7 speakers and bass woofer for a kick-ass sound. Engine performs really well, acceleration and general quiet smoothness is as good as any other luxury car ( far better than my wifes Mercedes E320 ). One touch power moon-roof is great and not too windy, even on expressway. Automatic headlights and A/C are a great features, never touch 'em. Cup holders for 6 ! even in the back seat. Interior is extra roomy, with miles of headroom ( I'm 6ft4in ), leg room, shoulder room, far superior to Mercedes ML320.Pros: Power
Cons: Price
Advice: Buy a Subaru for a lot less
Smooth, quick acceleration. Don't like the look of the vehicle from behind -- back end is too high up in the air and my bottom is visible. Vehicle is priced more like a BMW but looks too much like a cheaper car, something you would expect to buy for 20 - 30K rather than 40k.
