Great Hybrid drive!!
Pros: The hybrid drive.
Cons: The ride and the visibility.I love the hybrid drive. I average 32.4 over 6500 mi. On one trip averaged 39.4 for 424 mi. But the interior is cramped and it has a lot of blind spots. The ride is overly harsh for a Lexus in this price range.
Good mechanics, bad visuals.
Pros: The Hybrid drive system.
Cons: The blind spots.I bought the car because I wanted a hybrid. I rented a Prius for a weekend and then drove the Hs250. I decided I did not want the Prius. The Hs250 has the same hybrid drive as the Prius but it seems to have more life, at the expense of gas mileage. The ride is a little harsh for a Lexus. Too many blind spots.
It is a toyota corolla hybrid with a few bells and
Pros: Lexus nameplate sounds impressive
Cons: Paying $7,000 to be able to call a Corolla a LexusIt is way way overpriced.
Best Vehicle I've Ever owned and I've owned over 1
Pros: All features are great, no one favorite
Cons: Side view Mirrors & the Tinted back window. We have 2 Identical RX400h. That's how much we love it. I like the looks better that the newer RX450h.
Pros: Ride and interior comfort and convenience features.
Cons: Rear roof and D-pillar design creates blind spots.
Advice: Unless you need the hybrid or want to be greener, RX350 probably makes more sense. The reason we went for the hybrid was so that the wife could use the HOV lanes (by herself) for commuting. Being greener is a nice side benefit but it doesn't make economic sense. The hybrid drive system is a little strange at first but you get used to it quickly. The brakes also have slightly different feel and smooth stops are not quite as easy as other cars, but you adjust to that pretty quickly as well. Acceleration is very good, it has plenty of power. Handling is pretty good, not great. We traded a 2002 Audi S6 which is a beast with loads of power (it's capable of doing 155) and a sport suspension with excellent handling for a big wagon. The ride is outstanding, much more comfortable than the Audi on a bumpy road. It's also extremely quiet except under heavy acceleration (not needed often) where the gas engine makes a fair amount of noise. At average highway speeds it's nearly silent. Interior comfort and convenience are superior, best of any car we've owned. Nav system works very well and the Bluetooth speaker phone works great. Audio and climate control are also handled by the Nav screen.
Cons: trunk space
Advice: get in lineI have driven my ls600 hl for two weeks and enjoy the quiet ride with this car.also, the hp (438)is very quick plus every option you could ever want makes this car a pleasure to drive
