Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Advice: Nice car if you have no interest in sports cars.Great car to be driven in heavy traffic. It's quiet, great ride, comfortable seats and quality materials. On a winding road it instills no confidence. The car leans excessively, has tire squeal and vague steering. Interstate driving is OK but the numb steering makes it less enjoyable.
Pros: Sport Design features
Cons: A little more horsepower out of the inline 6
Advice: Great car buy it!Purchase model with Sport design and it was worth the extra money for the ride and feel of the road.I would suggest this option if you are looking for more feed back from the GS rather than the standard offering. Yes it would be nice to have more horsepower similar to the Acura and new Infinity models. What this car lacks in horsepower it makes up for with a very good blend of performance, ride and most important reliability.
Pros: Sound System
Cons: Not able to turn traction control off
Advice: go all out with this one.... it is worth it.... great for showing offI just love the Mark Levinson sound system, wonderful sub mounted in the rear and correctly positioned speakers to give the fullest experience. Secondly, the excelleration is peppy, the Navigation system is useful and. The seating is like a lazy boy strapped to the chassis of a car. Luckily Lexus does not make four bangers, but if you want to compete bring it on.
Pros: the whole car is a future
Advice: check the allinement of the wheelis one of the best car i have drive
Cons: the fact that it's not made in Germany
Advice: Try everything else BEFORE you drive this!As a former BMW owner and after falling in love with 2002 BMW (either the 530i or 540), I agreed to test drive the Lexus GS300 at my husband's urging. I was surprised to find that I liked the Lexus as well as the BMW, and there was more 'bang for the buck'. The car had pep from the line and smoothly moved into cruising speed on the highway. It was as quick as the 8 cyl. 540 with better fuel economy. The road feel was great and the cornering was excellent with just the right amount of comfort. In addition, the Lexus still caters to those of us who like to play our casettes (an option not available in the BMW).
Advice: noneWhen I first test drive this vehicle I fell in love and purchase the vehichle right away. After a year exactly I'm having problems with this vehicle lots of noises under the car. I went to dealer ask them why this car creates lots of noise. What they did is lubricate joints and etc. Still having problem went back to dealer to check them and they said it strut on right is bad and they have to order them from Japan. I question why they will only replace Right Strut? After 1 month my strut arrived and they replaced them, but the problem still there. so when back to again and they order the left strut for another month. I am still waiting for schedule appointment which is very very hard or long wait....... I wish I should ask my neighbors first before considering buying this expensive vehicle with poor customer service, poor diagnostics and long waits to fix a warranty parts.
