The Lexus ES 350 is one of the luxury automaker's best-selling sedans.  This mid-size cruiser is intended to offer a comfortable and insulated ride without any pretense of sporting performance, which is exactly what legions of commuters are looking for in a daily driver.  The Lexus ES 350 is also notable for being a very safe automobile, featuring side airbags for front and rear passengers, forward airbags, knee airbags for those riding up front and side curtain airbags that run the entire length of the passenger compartment.  Electronic stability control and traction control are also standard.

The Lexus ES 350 is powered by a 3.5-liter V-6 engine that has been tuned to provide 268 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque.  A six-speed automatic transmission handles the gear shifting duties for the sedan, and fuel economy shows as 19-mpg in stop and go driving and 28-mpg during highway cruising.

The Lexus ES 350 comes in a single trim level that is designed to be customized via individual options and packages.  The base ES 350 (MSRP $36,725) offers a sunroof, keyless entry and ignition, power leather seats, Bluetooth connectivity, cruise control, dual automatic climate control, a CD player with an iPod interface and 17-inch wheels.  The Navigation System/Mark Levinson package upgrades the ES' stereo system, adds the Enform and Safety Connect telematics systems and a navigation system, while the Ultra-Luxury package includes a leather-laden interior, wood trim, a panoramic glass sunroof, adaptive HID headlights, and heated and ventilated seats.  Many of these options can be installed a la carte, in addition to features such as parking assist and adaptive cruise control.

A list of cars similar to the ES350 include the 2012 Acura TL and 2012 Hyundai Azera.
