The Lexus IS-F CCS-R has participated at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, as well as other events. It is the Club Circuit Sports Race Car, and Autobytel got the chance to take a look at this Lexus at the #WhatstheF media event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Lexus Racing Driver Ken Gushi showed Autobytel around the Lexus IS-F CCS-R for this video, and even gave the Autobytel team a few thrills. In line with the social media theme of the day, Lexus adorned the IS-F CCS-R with 14,000 names. That number signifies the approximate height of Pikes Peak, and the names used were those of fans who have interacted with Lexus through the brand’s Facebook and Twitter pages. So, the hood and roof of the Lexus IS-F CCS-R may look like it’s covered in blurry white stripes, but they are worth a closer look. The car’s team has also collaborated with the Tony Hawk Foundation. Ken Gushi says the Lexus IS-F CCS-R is based off a concept vehicle, inspired by Lexus customers who want a turn-key race car. Though the program was intended for the Japanese market (where Lexus is based) Lexus saw potential demand for these cars in the United States, and started participating in the Pikes Peak program for publicity.
