LA Auto Show: Mitsubishi XR-PHEV First Look

Imagine designing a plug-in hybrid crossover and adding a bit of the DNA from the Lancer Evolution. You might end up with the Mitsubishi XR-PHEV which made its North American debut at the LA Auto Show. This concept is very bold with a large grille that flow into the slim headlights and a fastback shape for the rear. Power comes from plug-in hybrid system providing 295 horsepower via 1.1L three-cylinder engine and electric motor. Mitsubishi says that the XR-PHEV can travel 53 miles alone on electric power and archives a mile per gallon equivalent of 65.
