You might not think of Cadillac as being the racing type, but the brand has quite the history. Since Cadillac started up its Cadillac Racing branch in 2004, it has amassed 22 pole positions and 26 wins with the first-generation CTS-V sedan and second-generation CTS-V coupe. Now entering the 2015 season, Cadillac Racing is expanding their efforts with the new ATS V.R.
The ATS V.R. features the racing version of the Twin Turbo 3.6L V6 producing up 600 horsepower, an aggressive body kit to keep it on the track, a carbon fiber front splitter, and eighteen-inch racing tires. You'll be seeing the ATS V.R. in the World Challenge series starting next year. But there's the possibility of seeing the ATS V.R. in other racing thanks to the vehicle being built with the FIA GT3 regulations in mind.
Cadillac's David Caldwell gives us a brief introduction to Cadillac's newest racer.
