Land Rover is in the midst of changing how their lineup is situated. Range Rover is becoming the luxury branch and the Discovery nameplate is being branched out to family of leisure vehicles. The first vehicle of this new family made its North American debut at the LA Auto Show.
The 2016 Discovery Sport is a blend of the Range Rover Evoque and Sport with angular front and rear end styling, along with a sloping roofline. Inside, the Discovery Sport is classified as a 5+2 which means 5 people will be able to sit comfortably, but you can fit 7 people thanks to the third row. Power comes from turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder with 240 horsepower and 250 pound-feet of torque. This comes paired up to a nine-speed automatic.
