LA Auto Show: 2016 Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang First Look

Before the LA Auto Show officially begins, some automakers decide to reveal their new vehicles early. This year,  Ford was one of those automakers. Their vehicle was the new 2016 Shelby GT350 Mustang that was shown at the original headquarters of Shelby America in Gardena, California.

While on the spec sheet the GT350 may not have the numbers that the outgoing Shelby GT500 had, Ford made sure that GT350 could stand on its own with a number of improvements to the engine, suspension, and body. Key items for the latest Shelby Mustang include 5.2L flat-crank V8 engine which is said to produce more than 500 horsepower and 400 pound-fee of torque; a redesigned front end to improve aerodynamics; and Magnetic dampers which adjust to road conditions and driver demands - a first for any Ford vehicle.
