    2002 Kia Sportage - (M5) 4x4 4dr

Pros: it was small, my first SUV

Cons: the power, I mean what power?!

Advice: buy something else, not worth the money, buy something reliable!!!!

The car got me from point A to point B, after that it wasn't worth anything. I owned it for 3 years, after I hit 60k everything went wrong, 4x4, brake line leak, engine light that would usually turn off after 5 minutes, but if it didn't my car would suck up SO much gas, my drivers side window machine broke. Sure it was compfortable, and semi-reliable, but not worth the money. I traded it for $1 and got myself a 2006 Nissan Xterra, now that's a REAL SUV.

    2002 Kia Sportage - (M5) 4x4 4dr

Pros: i love the fact that its not to big but not to small its the perfect size for me and my children

Cons: i dislike the way the front grill looks on the sportage

Advice: this is a very great car

i went to purchase a used car. After serching all day and irritated with all the car dealers from hell, i made my last stop at a dealership, the people were just so nice, then i came across the 2002 kia sportage limited, it was so comfortable, it had cruise control and all the other extras,so i took a test drive and fell in love, the vehicle had no warranty but i went ahead and purchased one through the car dealership, 12,000 miles later still not one problem, i am very happy with my car.

    2002 Kia Sportage - (M5) 4x4 4dr

Pros: The vehicle can hold a LOT of 'stuff'.

    Cons: Paint job

Advice: Don't believe a word your dealer says...Unless it is in writting!

Vehicle road a little rough but it had good pull which is needed for the snow and slush of North Jersey. NOT a lot of pickup getting onto the highway but a really good price for a 4 by 4 vehicle.

    2002 Kia Sportage - (M5) 4x4 4dr

Pros: The raised back seat for my toddlers viewing pleasure

Cons: Unreliable, Expensive to run, Mystery noises

Advice: Do a lot of homework with owners beyond 1-2 years

The Aiyee yell is more reflective of consumer frustration than fun filled performance. The truck is lady driven to transport mom and toddler on errands, work, and playdates- not 4-wheeling.The truck failed inspection year 2. The cup holders broke, the door handle-on one, the door lock on another door- gone inside, lights - dome light ocassionally works (repaired constantly with no explanation), headlights ocassionally quit and melt the connecter, new brakes twice, new uv joint, new driveshaft yolk, wheelbarrens, rusting like crazy, spare tire arm won't stick closed until excessive force applied, starts on most occasions, wiper fluid does freeze up,won't start on cold wet winter nights when out, the clutch has held up so far, lighter/cell phone sometimes works. Imagined unexcplained noises underneath and in tires - ghosts? One year to go, $5000. in debt, looks pretty except it's hood is up a lot.Really not reliable, safe, or fun if it drives at all...Aiyee.Since purchasing dealers admitt it is junk 2 yrs later...Sorry. Did I mention bad on gas when drivable? Hopefully, improved new version.

    2002 Kia Sportage - 4x2 2dr

    Pros: there are none

    Cons: it is not reliable

Advice: DO NOT BUY A KIA

It's a great car for a few months and then things begin to break. In the past five years the car has been in the shop over 12 times. Usually for the same thing again and again. The customer service is horrible. The sportage is not good quality and I would suggest nobody ever buy any kia!

    2002 Kia Sportage - (M5) 4x4 4dr

Pros: does get good gas milage

Cons: the overall drivability(is that a word?)

Advice: dont do it(kick the salesman in the shins that suggests it and run)

(1 star was the lowest rating.i would give it less if it gave me the option) Where to begin, no power on hills or when passing..ive had mine in the dealership 4 times the longest being 3 weeks for a mirad of engine problems-wich finnally resulted in the entire engine being replaced..since then my door sensors have all gone out leaving me to deal with a constant beeping as if the door is open..my driverside power window works great..the other 3 windows work when they want to..sometimes going down...but takin up to 3 days before it decideds to go back up for me..ok handeling...i am a verry safe driver with an impecable driving record..at speeds under 50 ive had it on two wheels on two different occasions from breaking while in a corner.its majorly top heavy.i put 2 100lb sand bags in the rear wich makes a big difference.this being the second sportage ive owned i will refer to the old saying'fool me once shame on you fool me twice...well you know the rest

    2002 Kia Sportage - (M5) 4x4 4dr

Pros: great first time SUV for someone who can't afford more

Cons: shakes on highway, backseat not very roomy, feels unsafe

Advice: good vehicle, but please consider all your options, do your research!

We have had our Kia for 3 years. The cup holder broke very shortly after the purchase. And the Kia has been in and out of the shop the entire time that we have had it. Granted, it is affordable, great on gas, great warranty (usually covers most problems). But, it does shake alot on the highway and on windy days, something to get used to. Overall it's ok. But if you want to think about safety, you may want to choose a diffrent vehicle. I can't even imagine what would happen if we had an accident in it. So, we are looking at a Mazda3. Also, affordable and great with gas!
