Getting firsthand information from an actual car owner is one sure way to get an idea of car performance once it leaves the lot. Autobytel features real consumer reviews that give the unbiased experience of a car.
Cons: I wish it had heat and ac both front and back.
I love my KIA. I bought it used with 17000 miles. I love being able to call the shop if I have a problem and getting right in and getting it fixed. The only problem I have had is my tail lights kept blowing out. They finally put in a heavy duty plug and haven't had a problem since. I also had a sensor go out and it took a couple of days to fix it or get the part, but I was on a trip anyway, so it still wasn't a problem.Pros: nothing
Cons: how the car had its mind of its own
Advice: go and buy another car
i was a proud owner of a kia sorento, the car was great until it kept on skiding from the rear. the car had on control. until i was driving to work and it went from the back and i hit the wall the abs did not work and it did not have any stabalising programs.Pros: Value.
Cons: Initial quality after taking it from the lot.
Advice: Take it for a long drive, overnight if possible. Initially it is impressive, but look closely.
I had several disappointments with my Sorento and wish I had bought the Equinox I was considering. The brakes pulsated and the rotors were replaced at 600 miles. Now at 10k they are doing it again. The fog lamp just fell out of its mounting in the bumper. The paint had several flaws that were not evident until I looked very closely through the silver clearcoat. The transmission seems to not like the shift points. The dashboard has an awful reflection into the windsheild. Lastly, the E-brake lever is uncomfortable as it is too close to my leg. Like the size of the cabin, good power, warranty, and appearance.Pros: The look
Cons: not enough horsepower
Advice: Its a nice car for the price
I actually own a 2004 sorento ex 4x4. I love the car but I have had it in shop at least 8 times since I bought it. They have replaced the driveline 4 times, but now the rear differential might be bad. we will see if kia fixes my car. If not I will be calling the BBB.Pros: The exterior look
Cons: no 6-disc cd changer unless you get leather seats
Advice: Go for it...you won't be sorry!
I used to be jealous of my friends and family members who had expensive SUV's...like Ford Explorers and Toyota Forunners. I test drove the Kia Sorento 2 days ago and was NOT expecting what I experienced. It's like driving a luxury SUV, but for much cheaper. Well I bought an ex, and am more in love with it than any other car I've ever had. I am no longer jealous of those people who have those expensive gas-guzzing SUV's. It also has a strong resemblence to a Lexus. And the 2-tone coloring on the ex is gorgeous. I am so happy...my 3 year old daughter and my mom love it too. Thanks so much to Peoria Kia in Peoria AZ!!Pros: smooth ride and comfort
Cons: the only thing i wish the hitch was standard
Advice: its well worth the money and warranty is good
the minute we test drove the sorento was amazed at how it handled and quietness of the ride .. we are pleased with our vehicle ... i would buy another today and gas mileage is good ; because we travel alot back and forth to visit family and we are amazed at the handle and smooth ride of this vehicle ....we have alot of people ask if we like our ride and we always say yes and the warranty is great too...thanksPros: Multiple power outlets and the large gas tank
Cons: the gas mileage
Advice: No advice at this time
This is the first NEW car that we have bought in 20 years and we just love out Sorento. My only complaint is the gas mileage. The vehicle averages 13-14 mpg in town and 19-20 mpg on the road. And that's without the a/c on! Is this below, above or average for this vehicle?
