Pros: The exterior design.
Cons: 4 cylinder on take off is a tad slow vs. the V6
Advice: Nice car for a smaller sedan. RoomyDrove and rode smooth for a smaller sedan. Back seat is roomy. The 4 cylinder drove at high speed (70 mph) on freeway with no problem at all.
Pros: The storage in the rear seat arm rest along with the cupholders.
Cons: The gear knob is a little ackward at first but you can get used to it.
Advice: Drive one and compare the ride. You'll like it.We drove several cars and our overall favorite was the Kia Optima. The appearance is sporty but the car is also very roomy inside. The V6 engine offers a lot more power but you do give up a little in gas mileage compared to the 4 cylinder. The internal controls are convenient and the ride is very comfortable. This is our 3rd Kia purchase and we still have all 3. With that kind of warranty you can't go wrong. I say if the other car makers think they are better then they should put their money where their mouth is and offer as good a warranty as Kia does.
Pros: Loaded with options for price.
Cons: Big knobs on NON power seats in LX model.
Advice: Don't overlook it. Drive it as far as the dealer will let you. You will like it more and more.We drove the LX 4 cylinder first. The first smile came from the ride! The power is pretty good but it vibrates some at idle. Nice equipment for the $$. We shopped and found a great deal on an EX V6. Nice power and very smooth running. My wife is picky about color but the pearl white and leather will make your heart pound! I don't understand the gas mileage issue people talk about. It's awesome compared to our van and 4X4! KIA is GOOD! (at least the Optima)
Pros: cd player
Cons: Everything, gas mileage, engine and car noise, comfort, saftey!
Advice: After what I went through at low speeds I would say stay away from this or any kia for that matter!I had an accident at about 30-35 and this car is very unsafe and of poor quality! The car is completley totaled and unsafe! Poor gas mileage, no comfort whatsoever, poor braking and acceleration, excessive road noise and engine noise. Handling at freeway speeds very poor. Side and front impact at 35 mph very very poor. airbags malfunctioned! Overall I would say this is a complete waste of money! Stick with the Honda's, Nissan's, or Toyota's.
