Cons: New Black & White trip computer & cupholders won't hold 2 medium-sized drinks. My 2004 Amanti had a blue background w/black letters.
Advice: Test drive - You'll love it!I received nice 'cash backs' for the 2005 Kia Amanti I just purchased a few weeks ago. I had traded in my 2004 Kia Amanti that I had since November 2004. I was HOOKED after I first test drove the 2004. Nothing else I looked at compared.
Pros: heated seats
Cons: That the doors do not lock automatically when put in gear.
Advice: Have a salesperson who knows all the wonderful featuresthe car glides with little effort. It could perhaps use a little more power for the size. The rear view mirror dimming feature is terrific! No glare! I like the radio controls and cruise on the steering wheel.
Pros: Quiet, luxury for a very low price. Lots of features.
Cons: Fuel hungry (the way I drive, maybe?)
Advice: Test drive one. It will 'speak' for itself.I own it for almost two years now and it stands up very well. It has a luxury drive but I do tend to drive aggressive. It can handle very well but you have to get used to the soft ride -which I happen to enjoy!!
Pros: Kia's overall quality and safety
Cons: As incredible as the standard option list is, an available Navigation system would be most appreciated.
Advice: All you have to do is drive it, you'll be sold.A phenomenal vehicle! We'd owned Mercedes, Jaguar, Volvo and Acura in the past, never was KIA a consideration for us. Suffice it to say, that was a mistake on our behalf. Obviously the price speaks for itself. Amazing to us was the exemplary workmanship and overall quality of the Amanti. Pure luxury providing a quiet and responsive ride, incredible features and concert hall sound from the Infiniti sound system. It's easy to see why Kia is confident in offering the best (and longest) warranty in the business. These cars are built right, and to last. Thank you Kia! We couldn't be happier and you've loyal new customers.
Advice: Think again -- Cheap Quality!Kia took the quality look and feel of a Mercedes and 'tried' to pack it into the Amanti for about a 5th the cost! Try again -- This car screams 'I really wanted a Mercedes but I couldn't afford one, so I settled for this'....
Pros: body style
Advice: don't buyIt looks good, but ride stability is poor. Sluggest and top roll weight on the highway. Feels awkward, If your looking for a cheap auto, This is it. Shame it isn't built better. At least it looks good.
Pros: The look of the front grille
Cons: Could use a bit more power
Advice: get the traction controlI have had my Kia for 3 months. It is a good car, I came from a mustang, so I already knew that it wouldn't accelerate or corner as well. However, it works well when I take customers out who now don't complain about climbing into the backseat. I drive anywhere from 400-800 miles a week so the comfort level has been phenomenal. Haven't had any major problems, so I definaltely like the car.
