Good Except for the Paint
Pros: Heat, AC, and Trunk Size
Cons: Radio-Poor Transmission, bumpers uselessOverall satisfactory but an area of paint on the car door came off at a car wash due to water pressure. I had to get it repainted.
Pros: The front grill/Jag look alike
Cons: POOR GAS MILAGE! 11.9 MPG
Advice: Please check the gas milage before u drive off the lot !!! otherwise the car is excellentI've been looking at the Amanti since 2003. I was never a Kia fan and that's what kept me from buying. In Aug. of 2005, the engine went on my old car and i had no choice but to buy another. I went strait to the Kia dealership and test drove the Amanti. I loved it! The leather interior, wood grain paneling, 6disc CD changer, tape player, luxury at a fraction of the price! I drove it home that same day. I didn't give a high rating in performance and quality because of the poor gas mileage. I find that if i unplug the battery and then reconnect, it will give me proper milage for a while, but it slowly goes back down. I hope they recall and fix this problem. Anyone else with this problem please contact Kia to let them know !!
Pros: Smooth, quiet, and also the heated seats
Cons: The cup holder is too small for 2 drinks other than cans or a small cup.
Advice: I've had mine for 2 years now and love it just as much as the day I bought it. People always ask me how I can afford to drive a Jaguar and I point to the Kia symbol. They can't believe it's a Kia.We took the car for a 24 hour test drive. Absolutely loved it. My husband wouldn't consider anything but a Chevy because he's from a family that mostly works at Chevrolet. He sure changed his mind quick after driving it and also riding as a passenger in front and in back. Such a quiet engine you weren't sure if it was turned on when sitting in a parking spot. Smooth bumpless ride.
Pros: Quiet, luxury for a very low price. Lots of features.
Cons: Fuel hungry (the way I drive, maybe?)
Advice: Test drive one. It will 'speak' for itself.I own it for almost two years now and it stands up very well. It has a luxury drive but I do tend to drive aggressive. It can handle very well but you have to get used to the soft ride -which I happen to enjoy!!
Advice: Think again -- Cheap Quality!Kia took the quality look and feel of a Mercedes and 'tried' to pack it into the Amanti for about a 5th the cost! Try again -- This car screams 'I really wanted a Mercedes but I couldn't afford one, so I settled for this'....
Pros: the response from a standing start
Cons: I think a compass in the mirror would be a help
Advice: test drive it you wonThe moment I drove the vehicle I was absorbed with the solid body and quiet motor, could hardly feel the engine running, the pickup was very responsive have had many people complement me on the styling and appearence, room in the back seat was more than many cars, doors are high and easy to get in, open extra wide for easy access, leather seats very comfortable , six disk cd player
Pros: The style and look, not mention the price
Cons: Gas mileage
Advice: Looking for a luxury car on a budget this is the car to buyIf you drive it you will buy it! I have had my Amanti since December and there are only two things I'd change. Better gas mileage (they say it will better as I drive it more) and automatic door locks. A navigational system would be nice.
