Pros: sound bar, locking consold
Cons: no arm rest
Advice: dont get to caught up on accesories because the aftermarket is better and cheaper for the most parti own a 2005 wrangler x i bought three months ago and i like it a lot. definitly go with the 6 cyl. its not the most comfortable ride until you get on the trail then you understand why. the drivers compartment is a little small but after a few days you get used to it. the jeep is great in the summer and the winter and for the price i think they are great. the sound bar is a great improvement over the normal sound system and if you want to upgrade your speakers then it gives you better options where to put them if you dont you will have to get boxes that take up alot of space, its pretty loud even with the top down and the best is it also gives you interior lights for the front and the back. i wanted a nice 4x4 without spending over 25,000 and i found it here. i got alot of the good options like full doors premium sound and 6 cyl and only spent about 21,000.
Pros: 4 wheel drive low ratio torque
Cons: manual windows, 7 speaker sys
Advice: Live in city get locking gas cap, hood lock, hardtopThe 2003 Wrangler Rubicon is the best, I had a 98 Wrangler SE and it was very dependable. I never had to shovle to pull out from parking, I drove through minor floods with confidence. I've never had any major problems with the engine (you have to maintain any car). Broken manifold seems to be a common problem on Wranglers. Also faulty reading of gas guages of older models. The Wrangler Rubicon is a bit higher than others(31' tires), I have side steps but find them awkward for entering the car. With the 31' tires properly inflated the ride gets rough. The short length makes the Wrangler ideal for city parking. The feeling that I can take on any obsticle is comforting. If you want a better Wrangler check out American Expedition Vehicles website, these guys are great.
Pros: turning radius
Cons: gas milage
Advice: This is the perfect vehicle if you have to live with snow. This an awesome vehicle. This is the second Wrangler I've own. The previous was the 2.5 4 cyl and was great fun, perfect in the winter but lacked that extra power needed for the on-ramps for the freeways. That problem was solved with my new Wrangler with the 6 cyl and larger tires. Both of course had a wonderful turning radius.
Pros: Fun to drive
Cons: A little cramped drivers side.
Advice: Get the side stepsThe Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is the 4X4's 4x4! The suspension is great and the ride smooth. You can feel how solid the vehicle is. It is more at home off road than on, but highway driving is comfortable and a snap. Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, definitely puts the fun back in driving.
Pros: 4 WHEEL DRIVE, JEEP STYLE
Cons: NO HOOD LOCKS. ANYONE COULD OPEN IT UP AND TAMPER WITH IT. NOT GOOD IF YOU LIVE IN THE CITY OR BAD NEIGHBORHOODS.
Advice: THERE'S NOT A 'GOOD' TIME OF YEAR TO BUY A JEEP. THEY'RE PRICEY IN THE WINTER AND SUMMER.A BUDDY OF MINE HAS ONE WITH OVER 240,000 MILES. HANDLES GREAT, VERY POWERFUL TAKE OFF COMPARED TO OTHER VEHICLES I'VE DRIVEN. MORE COMFOTABLE THAN THE JEEPS OF THE PAST.
Pros: Dana 44 rear differential
Cons: Repeated breakdowns and service center visits
Advice: Arrange for other transportation if you buy one of theseI have had repeated mechanical problems with my Jeep, culminating with a blown engine at 59,000 miles. Jeep Wranglers serve a purpose, but that purpose is not dependable transportation.
