Although it won't make its most important tour stop—at U.S. dealerships—until right around the turn of the year, the 2015 Jeep Renegade continues to roll into auto shows around the world to get folks geeked about the first truly global Jeep. And that includes more than just visiting major events like the recent SEMA Show, where a number of custom 2015 Jeep Renegade concepts were previewed.

The Jeep brand also has been featuring its city-sized SUV in locations ranging from Sao Paulo to San Antonio. In Brazil, for example, the 2015 Jeep Renegade was a star of the recent Sao Paulo Auto Show, making its first Latin American appearance in a key international market.

"One of the biggest opportunities for the future growth of Jeep is in Brazil," explained Mike Manley, president and CEO of the Jeep brand. He also noted that: "The All-new Jeep Renegade perfectly matches the spirit of adventure and can-do attitude of Brazil and will attract thousands of new customers to the brand."

The same kind of thinking also brought the 2015 Jeep Renegade to the 2014 San Antonio Auto Show that opened on November 6. Texas, of course, is a vital U.S. market for the brand, as evidenced by Jeep's performance in the 2014 Texas Truck Rodeo. Presented by the Texas Auto Writers Association, the event saw three Jeeps win their segments in the most recent competition:

  • Jeep Grand Cherokee—Overall "SUV of Texas"
  • Jeep Cherokee—"Compact SUV of Texas"
  • Jeep Wrangler Unlimited—"Off-road SUV of Texas"

Stay tuned to Autobytel.com for more on the 2015 Jeep Renegade as we get closer to its official on-sale date.
