gas hog
Pros: looks
Cons: recalls, leaks, poorly built
Way too many problems, radiator replaced twice (popped holes), 3 recalls, loud air flow on 1 window when driving, 3 replacement door motors, the rain just comes in the front passenger side when the car is sitting, noone can find the leak, so, living in florida in the rainy season i have floor mats with a lip and they are emptied daily, too many problemsPros: higher up than a reg vehicle
Cons: no trunk
Excellent vehicle drives well and gets pretty good gas mileage..Pros: good acceleration on the standard 4speed v6 automatic, easy passing
Cons: center console window switches, i cant believe they make people stoop forward to move the window up and down in the backseat
Advice: Test, Test, Test, if you dont like the mileage, get the diesel, other than that you'll luv it..
My little liberty (freedom edition) the best special edition made so far in the series, almost fully loaded for 20,000, can't beat it... I love it, has the best turning ratio of any automobile i have ever driven, if you test drive do a u turn in a tight street and you will be blown away, the gas mileage sucks, but your not gettin one of these for the gas mileage, its average i go about 18-24 street and freeway, not bad, not really good, but its better than others, and the best part of all 3.7 liter v6 that has alot of umph!! this is no sissy RAV4, HONDA SHOEBOX, OR LITTLE PT COUSIN, this is a real suv with real SUV performance it's a jeep, enough said...Pros: sun roof
Cons: gas mileage
Advice: everyone needs a Jeep in their life at some time..go for it
I loved every day spent in my Jeep, on and off road. It handled fabulously. Highly recommend the Liberty. Lifestyle changed and had to have a different vehicle...so sad!Pros: Sunroof, leather interior
Cons: gas tank and gas mileage
Advice: Fun to drive but not for long trips
We love this Jeep Liberty Limited very much. The engine is very responsive with lots of room to accelerate on the open road if desired. This vehicle is loaded so we have no complaints about the fun and comfort level. The only thing is to caution about is the gas mileage and size of fuel tank. Seems like the gas tank is too small for a vehicle this thirsty. We live in a town of 130,000, so traffic is not bad, but we find ourselvses filling up frequently. Another thing is seating comfort. On long trips the seats seem to become unbearable. Good thing the beast has good heating/AC function and adequate stereo. Good vehicle but beware.Pros: Style
Cons: Maintenance is a nightmare!
Advice: AVOID!!!!!
We own a 2002 Liberty Limited and are looking to cut our loses and sell it. From day one, we have been faced with continuous recalls and mechenical problems. Currently - at 56K miles - the transmission is being replaced. It's covered under warranty, but we will be without a car for a week (no loaner, no nothing). I would not recommend any Jeep product, especially the Liberty.Pros: looks great
Cons: gas mileage terrible
Advice: none
great suv gas mileage sucks 4.0 liter cherokee got much better mieage than this 3.7 bad move very dissapointed with that
