Cons: the amount of repairs it has needed
Advice: lots of money for all the repairs you will be doing 60K miles and about 2k spent in repairs already with extended warrantyI have owned My Liberty for 4 years now and I am very unhappy with the truck. My liberty has been in the shop at least 8 times with the same problem MIL light goes on and off all the time I have had 3 O2 sensors replaced this all started right after the factory warranty was up. I was foolish and paid 1500$ for an extended warranty which I had a 100$ deductible the dealer ship continued charging me the 100$ deductible for the same problem. They continuely blamed the 28$ o2 sensors now my extended warranty is up and MIL light is on again now I need to pay for a new evap pump which was also replaced last year. I will never buy a chrysler product again.
Pros: Steering wheel controls.
Cons: Poor handling in wet conditions
Advice: Don't buy this car if you want good gas mileage. The Jeep is a nice small SUV, however it handles poorly in the rain. I would not buy another one.
Pros: the v6 engine and off-road capability
Cons: window controls on the center console
Advice: go with the limited model, it' worth itThis suv can handle anything you can throw at it. It has great pick up and good control over bumps. I love knowing that it can go anywhere, if i need to. It had lots of cargo space and nice controls inside.
Pros: I like the sound system
Cons: That it breaks. First the air conditioner, then the back joints clunked, then the crank shaft sensor, now a front suspension recall, and my check engine light is on again. There is only 23,000 miles on the car, it's two years old.
Advice: Lease it if you really want it, at least you can give it back at the end if you did not.the test drive was fine when there was only 2 miles on it
Pros: Steering wheel mounted controls
Cons: Dangerous Brakes and poor service
Advice: Do not buy a 2002 with disc froont and drum Rear Brakes, front brakes lock up under normal pressureGood
Pros: Easy to read gauges
Cons: Power window button placement.
Advice: Must test drive it. Do your homework on SUV's and what your life stile is.If your looking for a capable 4x4 for the ranch or in town, Liberty is it!Good highway speed ride, a bit bumppy in the back set.Turn radius is great and it's off roading capability is outstanding! Airconditioning is very cold and cools the cabin quickly. In town it's easy to park in those tight spots.Very cool swing-away rear door and with one pull of the handle or click of the remote and just the rear window opens for putting in those small packeges.I took it across country and I got about 300 miles per tank give or take 25 miles. In town in city traffic look to get maybe 200 miles per tank.
Cons: driver seat could go back further.
Advice: gas mileagesize of the vehicle fit me as a 5'9 female. I like the ride it was very comfortable.
