In this Autobytel video, you can get a look at one of the secrets of the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk’s impressive off-road capability. The Select-Speed system enables the driver to release the brake and the throttle, and the drivetrain still maintains its speed. Combined with the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk’s other off-road technology, such as Hill-Ascent Control and Hill-Descent Control, the Select-Speed system allows a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk driver to enjoy a fulfilling, yet technologically enhanced, off-road adventure. Autobytel’s Road Test Editor Chris Wardlaw demonstrates the Jeep Trailhawk’s capability by taking the sport utility vehicle down a steep and challenging trail, maintaining a speed of three miles per hour. The Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk might be designed for a variety of tough landscapes, but Chris Wardlaw says it performs better and is more comfortable on the street and on the highway than he expected. The cabin materials in the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk aren’t the most luxurious in the sport utility vehicle segment, but that’s not really the point of the vehicle. The interior is comfortable and supportive whether this Jeep is on the road or off, and the cabin is outfitted with good quality materials for the price point. The standout of the Jeep Trailhawk, though, is its trail-climbing power, just as it should be.
