Pros: Warranty, Design, Quality, Handling, Price, Features
Cons: 172HP, Interior a bit tight
Advice: Drive it first, it's a great car, power could be better but all around it's a cool car.My test drive was extensive. The salesman I had pretty much let me really wind this thing up. On the highway I opened up and was amazed at how much power 172HP can be when in the rite chassis. Handling was spot on making lane changes a breeze. On windy roads it had a bit of body roll but it stuck nicely. After a good 20 min. test drive I was convinced the car had what it's looks were insisting. It's a good looking well balanced car at the rite price.
Pros: it looks nice
Cons: the defects for being so new......its never ending though they say my car is a rare one
Advice: be carefull .. my new car is in the shop more than a used car with 100,000..and some companies just never want to admitt there are defective cars..my car has had a trunk leak ,audio replacement, air bag promblems, new motor for power window, its only 1 1/2i guess i would be okay if i also did not have 2 defective tires which make the car vibrate
Pros: Sound system...big woofer behind the rear seats really pumps out the bass.
Cons: Lack of power seats with memory.
Advice: If you're looking for a 2-person car, check this out! We're empty-nesters who were looking for something fun to drive (not our primary vehicle). After test driving LOTS of cars, settled on the Tiburon. Ride not as harsh or noisy as the 350Z, has more power than the RX-8 (on regular gas, no less) and much quieter than the Eclipse. The exterior styling turns heads and the clean dash layout reminds me of my 280Z of the late '70s. Adjustable driver's seat height a big plus as I'm much taller than my wife. Just wish they were electric with memory. Trunk is surprisingly large and the back seats (suitable only for grandkids) fold down for even more space. Front seats are roomier than the Mustang, and it's easier to get in to and out of than the Celica. Steering is tight and handles great. A solid, quality car and very reasonably priced.
Pros: The exterior look and power
Cons: The cheap plastic parts (power locks
Advice: Be sure not to modify your car against the warranty until it expires. The only problem I had is with the plastic partsI felt the car handled perfectly. It was incredibly smooth and I thought driving a six speed would be harder than a five speed. To my surprise, it was simple, and I loved how smooth the shifting was. Unfortunately, a van backed into my car, leaving a rather large dent on the passenger side door and I was surprised at how large the dent was, but this kind of car is very easy to repair large dents with because of it's plastic exterior. However, the visibility is limited and my power locks were defective as well as the shift knob and rear windshield wiper. It was a used car though, and the people didn't take care of it well. Don't change the car until the warranty expires.
Pros: The aggressive deep exhaust sound and torque of the V6 that the 4-banger competitors dont have
Cons: space a little cramped, visibility, seat leather quality not as good as Celica or RSX, sticky shifter
Advice: Test drive one and you will be surprised how much this car rocks!!!When I first saw the stats of the 2004 6-speed Tiburon GT V6, the 172 hp and 3023 lb weight, I thought this car would perform weak compared to the competition (I was considering RSX and Celica). Man I soo wrong. When I floored the car, the sexy exhaust just roared and I flew. I know the RSX is supposed to be faster, but the way I was being pressed back in my seat as I accelerated made me think otherwise. I also thought that at the higher gears the acceleration would disappear, but I was still being pressed into my seat in 4th and 5th. Before I knew it, I was going 100mph even though it seemed only like 70-80mph to me. The shifter feels a little heavy, and there is some resistance when you change gears, but pressing the gas makes you forget about that. For me, the 181lbs/ft torque makes the fun factor of driving this car 3x more than the competition.
Pros: the look
Cons: my remote doesn't have a trunk release
Advice: just drive itI just bought my 2003 Tiburon GT V6. It is so much fun! I looked at it kind of as a joke, figured it would feel claustrophobic and be underpowered--boy was I wrong!!! From the second I got in the car (that I did not expect to buy)it felt like home. The interior is not cluttered, the gauges are easy to read, and it feels so roomy for a small car. I immediately bought it and took it on a road trip. This car did not even know it was going up hills! There was no slowing it down. It has very tight steering and feels solid going down the road. There is almost no wind noise. I would highly recommend this car to anyone looking for a sporty car that doesn't break the bank. By the way, this is the second Hyundai I have owned-the first was an '89 Excel and I never had any problems with it so I really feel confident with this company!
Pros: performance..and all the great attention and complements!
Cons: the cost of replacing a tire..$250 for 1 tire..low profile
Advice: great buy! looks runs great and strong..hope you like attention!on the initial test drive i dished out alot on my new gtv6/6speed manual. i loved its handleing and performance!!I got lots of looks and felt like i was driving a car twice the price of the car, there's a little road noise in back but thats a sport car for you.I loved the sound system, the leather is beautiful and so is the overall persona of the car.
