The new Hyundai Sonata features a brand new engine that promises improved fuel economy. The turbocharged 1.6L four-cylinder makes 177 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque, and is paired up to a new seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. But the model is rated by the EPA at 28 City/38 Highway/32 Combined, better than the standard Sonata which is rated at 24 City/35 Highway/28 Combined. But with this focus on efficiency, does it affect its run to 60 MPH? We find out.
