When the new 2020 Hyundai Palisade goes on sale this summer, it will become the brand's largest and most powerful SUV ever. About the size of a Ford Explorer, the new Palisade will replace the Santa Fe XL in Hyundai’s lineup to become the Korean brand's flagship model.
Already on sale in South Korea where it is built, the 2020 Palisade is named for Pacific Palisades, a ritzy coastal enclave on L.A.’s affluent west side. The eight-passenger full-size crossover uses a new front-wheel drive platform shared with the Kia Telluride, which will also debut this year. It will compete with a long-list of three-row SUVs including the Explorer, Toyota Highlander, Volkswagen Atlas, Honda Pilot, and Nissan Pathfinder.
