Pros: all of them
Cons: this car is low to the ground, when you park you can damage the fronteasy to get around traffic. funnnnn to drive, cool car!
Pros: The shifter
Cons: Lack of an option for navigation for the U.S. (Japanese spec S2000's have this option)
Advice: Test drive it. P.S.: The car responds REALLY well to steering inputThe S2000 is a drivers car. In order to truly appreciate the beauty behind the engineering, it has to be pushed to 8200RPM. The VTEC system is flawless, the handling is quick and crisp, with the steering wheel giving the driver tons of feedback. The shifter is the best I've ever encountered. One test drive of this car is all it takes to get a true auto enthusiast hooked. After I drove this machine, no other vehicle was able to capture my attention. No other car I have ever driven has been able to put a smile on my face everytime I get into it. If you love cars and love to drive, this is the car for you. It will make every commute a joyous occasion.
Pros: Precise handling
Advice: Consider this car for value and quality and as a 2nd carThis car is not for everyone. It is an individual's car who has only one thing in mind - to drive it like you really hate the car!!! In the end you'll end up with a big grin will never stop grinning. I mostly owned and drove 2 sitter sports car- a Z3 MCoupe, MR2, Porsche 944 and 944 Turbo and a Del Sol. It was the Del Sol that inspired me to consider the S2000. I test drove a Boxter, Corvette, 911,Audi TT, Evolution, and STI. With all the cars that I test drove it was the S2000 that gave me the smile after several trips to the dealers in finding my next toy. The 911 Carera S4 is what I really like but I settled to the S2000 for the value and quality. The 2.0 litre engine is definitely a jewel. It is quick and exhalirating to drive. I live in the Sierra Mountains where I mostly drive the car for weekend drives and getaways. If you see me on the road driving a little too fast, I'm not showing off, I'm only having fun. Can't help it, the car is intoxicating.......
Cons: I lve it all!!!
Advice: be careful in the rain and snowI bought this 05 s2000 in novemeber of 04, I have since drove about 48k miles (yes I am addicted to it), it is like no other car that I have driven, It is soooo fast and so much fun to drive, at any speed, and you will get noticed by all, You will even get more looks driven this car that driving a Vette, Because there arnt that many s2000 on the road, All I can say is that for the money you get a sports car that is sooo much better than others that cost even two time the amount.
Cons: no overdrive
Advice: Enjoy it.I've driven motorcycles for 25 years and have never felt the same feeling of a ride like I have in the s2000. The car gives you every exhilerating, thrilling, unnerving, on-the-egde, feeling that motorcycling does, and then some. I gave up motorcycles for now but I still get home needing a drink of something to wet my dry mouth. It's difficult to ask for a more highway like ride without losing that truly sports car feel. Don't even consider any other sports car unless you go BIG $$. Have Fun!! Thanks Honda...
