Pros: Paddle Shifters / Lightning quick electric assist Power Steering
Cons: No Drivers Armrest ( E-Bay has them).
Advice: I am 54 years old and I am overwhelmed by the total package. It Fits in Every Way!
Can you say Go-Cart on Steroids? My little Red Rocket is positively the most FUN vehicle I have ever driven. I have let about ten of my friends drive it and every time I notice the same thing happen. After about 5 minutes driving it they stop talking to me. Whether on curvy back roads or Interstate makes no difference. They have Bonded with this machine and are wondering how the cute, boxy little piece of art can possibly do everything so darn well. They are at the same time trying to figure out what it will take for them to get one too. Good things come to those who wait. You've waited long enough.Pros: the seats
Cons: SMALL TANK
Advice: test drive on the highway or interstate
I've had it for one month now and put on 2700 miles. Very comfortable drive and great sound system on the SPORT model. Great gas mileage! Only draw back is the small gas tank (10.9 gal.). Good suspension and handling with fun at the shifting padels on the steering wheel. Can store and carry a lot of stuff with the different seat configurations. 'BIGGER THAN IT LOOKS'!Pros: Cruise Control on Manual Trans. / MP3 Aux.
Cons: Lack of armrest / No auto headlights
Advice: Test Drive it and fall in love w/ it!!!!! You won't regret!
This car is incredible! Def go w/ the 'Sport' model. It is well worth the extra few $$. Compared it w/ the Yaris and it smoked it. Have not driven it on a long trip yet, but have been comfortable on all my trips (longest being over an hour at one time). Has every feature you could want in a compact. Handles great and has excellent gas mileage. I went from spending $65 every fill-up on a Durango to spending almost $26 on the Fit, and getting many more miles out of it. With good acceleration techniques, you should get the MPG listed for the vehicle.Pros: Handling, gas mileage
Cons: Hard to think of anything, actually. Lack of armrests?
Advice: Get the sport. The details are worth the slightly higher price.
One word: Zippy!Pros: Flexible storage. Went to Ikea and stuffed in more than I thought possible.
Cons: Driving position but with careful adustment, it is actually good.
Advice: I tried a number of competitors but Fit was clearly superior. Handles crazy well for price.
Fit is well placed in econo range. Honda gives great value. Compare other makers with comparable equipment! Ride can be choppy and on center feel is slightly vague but, for 15K, give me a break. Driving position seems a bit awkward. I have short legs and arms but when peddles are ideal, wheel is too far away. Still, first 5 tanks of gas have averaged over 40. One tank was 42. Lowest tank was mostly city (38.5). All things considered this is the best car I have owned for the $.Pros: Safety
Cons: No Armrests
Advice: Its a great buy at a low cost, Safety, gas milage, and cuteness you just can't beat
I bought this car a few weeks before I made a 900+ mile trip to my folks. I made it 800 miles on 50$ of gas at $3.25/gal. I had a terrible accident due to a sudden drop in blood pressure causing me to drive off the road over a gaurd rail and rolling down into the woods below. MY 5 year old daughter only had a few bruises from her booster seat armrests and I just had a busted lip. The poor lil Fit was totalled but it kept us Safe. I just bought a new one Yesterday and I'll try not to break this one. Also its a very fun car to drive and cute too!Pros: The Paddles, try them when you test drive it, you'll love it.
Cons: Non adjustable seats, no lumbar support, no thigh support or adjustments
Advice: Don't listen to the whiners in the reviews, test drive it and have fun doing it!
I've had my Honda Fit Sport AT for 1 month now and put 5K on it. It is a lot of fun to drive with the paddles, and forgiving. Room for improvement on the comfort and performance but both can be upgraded. I didn't argue with the price and have been very happy with the fuel economy. Is it everything? No, but it is solid transportation and fun to drive. Upgrading to the Sport is worth the money, and doing the performance upgrade will be fun to after the warranty runs out.
