Excellent Car
Pros: sporty feel
Cons: lack of back seat room
Great car. Not good for rear seat room, once you have teenagers.2008 Honda Civic SI sedan
Pros: Performance
Cons: Overall quality
After 2 years/42000 miles I can say that Honda quality is not as it used to be.Cheap looking plastics/2 broken visors/odd pull from side to side when shifting is not Honda quality. But for the money it still beats all the competition.Performance/gas mileage/handling are all still great.Still fun to drive.Favorite Vehicle
Pros: Gas mileage
Cons: Front blind spots
It's a beautiful shape, and it has a good acceleration as compared to the Toyota of the same class. I like the digital speedometer and the automatic windows, especially since the driver's window can raise up with one press of the button (no need to hold it down). My model is the LX model. The only negative things are the blind spots on the front windshield where the side airbags deploy. It's hard to see any oncoming cars when you're going around a curve. Also, the gas mileage is great. My car averages about 30 mpg, but I have collected all mileages since I purchased it. My highest mpg was 41 and my lowest was 20, but these haven't happened often.A wonderful vehicle - good bang for the buck
Pros: plug in for MP3 player
Cons: wipers
I bought this car for the engine, and it has not disappointed me. Even in poor conditions my gas mileage never drops below 21 mi/gal. On the highway I have made 40 mi/gal. My one complaint about this car is that the windshield wipers work in their own way. At times I cannot turn them off. Other times the intermittent wipers get stuck at regular speed. I have had the dealer look at this, but their diagnostics show no problem. They have asked me to come in when the problem occurs, but as a working single parent that is not feasible. I had the rear windows tinted as the sun reflections impeded my view out the back without it. It is worth noting that I had to replace the original tires at 25,000 miles. Honda would do well to develop a hatchback version of this car. My ideal would be a Civic engine in a Fit style vehicle.Excellent Inexpensive New Car
Pros: CD Stereo
Cons: No remote hatch release on key fob.
Sporty, economical, get lots of comments, big enough for 2 people and storage.Civic, the way to go!
Pros: 5spd trans
Cons: The huge stereo, too hard to find an alternative aftermarket.
With gas prices hovering around $3/gallon at the moment, I love my 2008 Civic coupe w/manual trans. I get between 34-40 mpg. It is just the right size for my 6yr old son and I. It is relative fun to drive and is a great car for my 30 minute commute to work. For an entry level car it is stocked with all the expected features and they all work flawlessly. I think anyone in the small car market should consider a Civic Coupe.Pros: Good mileage
Cons: Ease of entering and exiting this low to the ground car
Advice: This is an excellent choice for a 2nd car
I puchased this vehicle without a test drive because of my previous experience with Honda vehiscles.
